Complete Lift Kit 40mm for Toyota RAV4 1st gen

I was a little leery about buying this lift because of where is was coming from but there not many choices out there, the EMU lift springs were too stiff for my needs, we installed this kit in about 1.5 hours + alignment, you do have to disassemble the front struts to install the new studs and it takes at least 2 people to install the rear spacers safely because of the angle of the spring against the spacer makes it want to pop out. you will need camber bolts to get the front back in spec, and in the rear you may as well order new camber adjusters from Toyota as the likely hood of getting the old ones free to get it in spec are next to zero on a car this old. the front spacers bolt holes are sleeved with a metal sleeve to keep the torque of the studs correct which is good. I am running jeep liberty wheels with BFG KO2 225/75r16 10 ply tires and without the lift i had major scrubbing, now its all gone. all in all a good product. also for those less mechanically inclined there are no instructions, installation is very straightforward for those that know what they are doing but if your not have it installed by a trusted mechanic.

The product did provide the lift required but the rear coil spacers are not designed right. The rear coil overs keep slipping out from under the spacers when you go anywhere with some serious ruts. And I tried to contact this company and never got a response as to how to solve this issue. The Rav 4 spring placement is at a angle and these rear spacers do not compensate for this. Am giving this two stars cause of the rear spacer issues. Also your shock can bottom out cause they extended to much. u need to purcahse 1 inches shock extensions or purchased a two inches and cut then to one inche.
