This is a high activity halide, Neutral organic acid (OA) flux formulated for difficult-to-solder surfaces where activated rosin fluxes and less active OA fluxes cannot be used. This flux combines a unique activation system with a special no-polyol base that is compatible with all solder masks

Great for SMD assembly work
I like this flux because compared to many other fluxes out there, it is very easy to clean up. I can recommend it for applications that involved fluxing fine-pitched SMD components for drag soldering and like operations. I am still learning how to control the rate of dispensing, it's not as simple to control as some plunger-based competitors but perfectly adequate as long as you can tolerate occasional accidental puddling. The flux itself is very fluid and settles as a thin layer, which works well if your working surface is flat; horizontal and the components are SMD components that do not require tons of flux in the first place.Does not work well for chip removal scenarios when the board is mounted in a non-horizontal vise, the flux will simply run off the board. Through-hole components and hole cleaning is more difficult to achieve with this flux. Unlike the more viscous competitors (chipquik et al), this flux cannot be dabbled on thickly enough to survive the application of the iron for any length of time. However, a flux like this is very handy for fine-pitch SMD work since flux is very helpful to achieve a good bond and relying on a rosin-solder core to provide adequate flux when working with extra thin solder and a fine-tip solder tip might be pushing it.

High Quality. Very Effective.
Best pen for electronics I've used so far. Quality tip didn't tear or get damaged when dragging over sharp edges but still conformed around them to flood with flux.I bought cheaper pens from a famous chinese website and got junk that didn't solder well at all. This is superior quality for electronic soldering. It's worth the premium to eliminate the lottery from chinese vendors.

Well not much to say here it’s a good pen when you press the tip flux is released into it like a magic marker it’s refillable but I haven’t had time to look for liquid flux to refill it I will probably have to drop an email to the vendor to see what would work best .

Works really well!
Works great for SMT rework! Push the tip in and the flux comes out and wets the tip (but not too much). You can use either the wide side or the corner to relatively precisely apply the flux to a solder pad. Solder melts easily, and no mess to clean up.

Very handy
Even tho I use flux solder, i find using this flux pen makes more precise joints.Especially on the smallest points.

Superior flux for hand soldered joints
Excellent for hand soldered joints. Great wetting and cuts through oxidation on pads much better than paste flux. Not suitable for bga or similar applications.

no sticky. :(
probably good to light a fire. But not to stick solder to a board. My old expired stuff is way better than this.

and any excess cleaned up easy once I was done soldering
Wow, this was a huge step up from slapping on blobs of rosin from a jar. It went on where I needed it, even to the tight spots, and any excess cleaned up easy once I was done soldering.
