High-fired dense clay stoneware with brilliant primary colors, just what I wanted. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that initially when I started collecting this pottery, the plates were about 10-1/2" in diameter. Smaller plates = less food. It's one of my pet peeves with American ceramics and flatware. Someone decided that we were all giants and want to eat at a platter holding a pitchfork. So, I ordered this hoping the 11" designation was a generous description and that it would certainly match my other plates. Not so, this one is the full 11" and every bit as large as my other American made china. It matches the pattern but is so much larger than it will not stack with the others and so must always be on the bottom of the stack. Still love the pottery and the designs. Highly recommend if you want well-made, hard to break dishware in bright colors.

Love these dishes!!!

I'm collecting the Polish pottery, one at a time in several different patterns. Love that they mix together with solid primary colors. The clay body is sturdy stoneware so they are heavy but don't feel clunky. Dishwasher safe, too.

These dinner plates are gorgeous!! But very expensive. Still, we love them. We think we may get more of these but one at a time because they are really pricy!!!
