The Voices Of East Harlem were an ensemble of vocalists who recorded two albums under the direction of Leroy Hutson and Curtis Mayfield. From The Voices of East Harlem in 1973 came three singles. Cashing In remains the best known and most sight after. Its appeal is to both northern soul and modern soul audiences, especially fans of Leroy Hutsons work here as co-writer and producer. Giving Love was the biggest commercial hit from the album in the USA and Wanted Dead Or Alive remains a rare groove classic. Little People has been a DJ Norman Jaye spin since the rare groove scene days. From Can You Feel It in 1974 came a Leroy Hutson production close to what the artist was doing on his own Curtom albums. Can You Feel It and Rare So Rare remain particularly popular alongside a dance track Take A Stand (now for the first time on a Soul Brother 7 with Cashing In), and the rare groove March Across The Land (also recorded by Linda Clifford), all tracks on this album in some way contributing to the demand and first legal reissue in two decades from owner Michael Lang, promoter of the original Woodstock music festival.

DVD dirty, unworkable
Very unhappy with this product as it does not work, yet was sold at a premium price - it is very old and has been packaged to look new (cellophane wrap)
