Vibrates too long and loud, no way to adjust, is large and uncomfortable.
I bought this watch to manage ADD symptoms. The idea is that every so many minutes (in my case five minutes) the vibrating alarm will go off and if my mind has wandered the signal will be my reminder to refocus on whatever it is I was working on. For this same purpose I have been using a device called the Motiv-Aider, which looks like an old pager device. But I've never found a good place to clip/carry the Motiv-Aider and have nearly lost it more than once. It seemed like something I strap on my wrist would be a better choice, and I thought I could use a watch anyway. However, I won't be able to use this watch for the following reasons: For one, the alarm vibrates for twenty seconds. It's jarring and annoying. On the Motiv-Aider I am able to adjust the strength of the vibration. I work in an office and can't imagine attending a meeting without twenty seconds of loud vibration distracting both myself an my coworkers. I just need a little nudge of a vibration. Sure, you can stop the alarm by pushing any of the buttons, but that turns a device that is supposed to help me manage distractions into a device that causes distractions.Secondly, the size of the watch is crazy big, even for me, and I am a plus-sized, quite tall, woman. On the positive side, the band will fit an 8-inch wrist. On the minus side, the band is a wide nylon strap that is stiff and uncomfortable. The watch face is so large that I can't quite find a place on my arm to wear it.Setting the watch is a bit complicated, but I suppose it has to be for all it does.I think this could work well for someone, but not me.Addition 1-25-13After reviewing the comparison information on the manufacturer's website, and knowing that the watch face would still be large I returned the Vibralite 3 and bought a Vibralite 12 instead. The 12 is much more appropriate for a usually quiet office setting. There is a choice in 5 or 10-second long vibration alarm for the automatic countdown timer. I'm using the 5 second setting and it's just long enough. It also seems the vibration is much quieter. As can be expected with a more expensive watch, the casing in nicer (metal instead of plastic) and the band is much nicer (leather instead of nylon strapping/velcro.) I don't regret returning the 3.

Not the solution we hoped for...
Based on another review, we too, ordered this watch for our 8-year old daughter who needs to be reminded to use the restroom more frequently. She is very tiny, granted. However, this watch was quite bulky and large. It really didn't 'blend in' as something a kid would choose to wear to school, and I don't think it would on a larger child, either. The band didn't adjust small enough for her wrist, and the watch itself was so large that she kept bumping it into things and getting scratched. The worst was when she accidentally bumped a button that too easily switched it from vibrate to alarm - and it went off in class during reading time. The teacher wasn't happy about the interruption, and all the kids figured out what it was for. She was really embarrassed. She'd already been complaining about the bulk and the fact that other kids could hear it when it vibrated. So that was it - after a week we couldn't bear to make her suffer the embarrassment any more. The graphics on the screen are very tiny - they've packed a lot into it. I can't imagine people with difficulty seeing small things finding it easy to tell if the sound or vibrate alarms are on. The alarms themselves work well, and I found it fairly easy to program, but I'm not sure I would recommend this for kids in school if they are likely to be sensitive about the attention it may draw.

Wonderful for seniors with hearing loss.....
I've had many watches with alarm functions, but in the past 5 years I've gotten to where I can't hear the alarm anymore! My grandchildren could, and so could my children, so all eyes would be on me when my alarm went off, but I couldn't hear it myself - very frustrating, and potentially dangerous (if I lost track of time and didn't take my medication). I came across a clip-on vibrating alarm, and got to wondering if there were watches that would have the same function. Fantastic! The one I got is actually meant for a child, but I didn't want to get a man's watch - they are way too big for a small woman. This is perfect; it is light blue and white, so it looks feminine, and the added bonus of it having a velcro band means it's easy to remove so that I can check my blood pressure and pulse before I take my medication. I wish it had more than just 2 alarm settings available, but I'll take what I can get. The price was what I considered to be an excellent deal; for under $45 (not including tax & shipping) - very reasonable. I haven't tried the timer feature yet, but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. It would be nice if it was also waterproof or even just water-resistant, but I can live without that. I just got it three days ago, and already know I couldn't live without it! I am very pleased with this purchase! Now, if the company would just "get with it" and start making some that are specifically meant for women.....

HUGE watch
The watch definitely does what it is supposed to - alarms via vibration or audible alarm to keep my daughter on a schedule, but it is so large on her tiny wrist that it becomes cumbersome and she doesn't like it much. I'm still looking for a viable alternative that is water resistant.

I wish I hadn't bought this watch. Don't buy it!
I bought this watch for the silent alarm. However, it can change from silent alarm to sound alarm easily with a single touch -- which means that if when hit the button by accident during the course of the day, it changes to a sound alarm, defeating the entire purpose of this watch. It doesn't need a lot of pressure to change, so it happened quite frequently until I stopped wearing it.(If it get hit again it becomes sound & alarm; a third time it shuts completely). This is the only simple function of the watch. It has many settings where many steps are needed to change it.I wasted my money.

Super Hard to Use
If you are buying this for an elderly relative, think twice. Although it is easy to put on and take off (thanks to the velcro strap), the directions for setting it are a nightmare and the buttons for setting times are too small for an elderly person to use. The digital display is also very small especially for those with weak eyesight.
