This is such an item.Pros:1: exact replica of the actual Mike Janich “live” Yojimbo 2 folding knife - weight, construction, steel, locking mechanism, fit-and-form; mechanical operations as a whole2: high quality produced by Spyderco and designed by Mike Janich3: allows safe and effective training sessions4: strong and robust5: easily identifiable as the trainer for the actual knife: trainer scale color is red; holes in the bladeCons:1: expensive - as it is the same price as the actual knife. On my inspection it is the actual knife with a blunt edge and material removed on the blade to reproduce the weight of the “live” knifeRecommendation:if you are serious about defending yourself and your loved ones by using a Spyderco Yojimbo 2 folding knife, then you need to train. If you train, you need this Spyderco Yojimbo 2 Trainer.

Pricey, but generally worth it. Much safer to train with.Only comment is that the blade feels a bit more sluggish than the live blade. The upside is once you are quick at opening this this trainer, you will be even quicker with the live blade.

If you own a Yojimbo 2 you know the exact action of this trainer. It's identical. So, long story short, if you want to be able to practice with a Yojimbo 2 in your classes but can't since it's sharp get this bugger.
