About the label....In our own innovative and understated way, Senlak pays homage to England and all things English. Our t-shirts, sweatshirts and apparel use designs influenced by who we are and from where we’ve come, England – our history, culture and heritage. It’s not the England that the papers or the TV will show us, it’s the England that is in us and maybe we just need reintroducing to. The Senlak White Dragon logo is inspired by The White Dragon of the Anglo-Saxons - the oldest known emblem of the English dating back well over a millennia. Our philosophy....We like smart clothing, something that is wearable and inspiring but not overly obsessed with fashion. We’re subtle and understated but at the very same time say loud and proud "That my friend is an Englishman. And a fine upstanding one at that". About the t-shirt....The word "Englisc" pays homage to Old English tradition - our very early ancestors referred to themselves as the "Englisc". The White Dragon is the ancient symbol of the Englisc dating as far back as the birth of England itself and pre-dating the Cross of St George by many hundreds of years. Established 449 - it’s an important date. Traditionally this date is regarded as the beginning of the Anglo-Saxon era. It marks the coming of the Englisc – the people who were to lay the foundation stones of the modern English nation.
