Weak
i think the concept is brilliant, but it the joints are totally weak. I put it on my bike for burning man so I could have some shade from the desert sun as I ride. As soon as I started pedaling with the umbrella on it, it was creaking side to side. This wasn't really due to the wind or umbrella, it just isn't stable enough at the joint where it bends to be able to hold it straight, even if its not bent and its straight up. Perhaps if the umbrella was very small and had no weight to it. I was able to modify it to get it to work by wrapping a bunch of thick tape on it. But then it broke at the joint after one bike ride. One wind and it snapped. So then i took it apart, and i was able to turn it into a stick that doesn't bend, i joined the two poles together without the joint and screwed them into each other and it worked, it was still wobbly though. So then I grabbed two bungee cords and really wrapped it around all over the place. All in all, i had to ruin it to get it to work correctly, its just weak.

The best for everyone, no matter what age!!
I use this product for shade while exercising on my bike. It's so adjustable, I can change it anyway I want. I live in the South East area, so the weather is unpredictable. When the mornings are cool and damp, my umbrella will stay up and I can ride without my hands holding it up. When it's hot and sunny my umbrella will shade me. Thank you for designing a product that helps me continue my exercises!! I believe it will hold my phone too!! I bought another one for my phone!! Very strong and versatile!!

Some simple instructions would be greatly helpful to people. ...
Some simple instructions would be greatly helpful to people. At least distinguish what end attaches to the umbrella and which attaches to the bike or wheel chair. The ad says it will work on a wheelchair or walker. But, I have yet to find a spot on my power wheelchair that it will fit and mount to. I may have to return it. But, I'm sure if I can attach it, it will work for what I need.

Well made and designed
Received holder within time frame expected and well packaged. Item relatively easy to attach to our wheelchair handle but someone elderly without mechanical skills might have a small problem attaching the holder. A wrench is needed needed to loosen, then tighten, the small nuts, as someone elderly might not have hand strength to use only pliers. The other adjustments can be loosened or tightened by hand. Other than that, I am completely satisfied.

Do not use this for a bicycle or anything that moves more than 3mph.
While the concept is nice, this product doesn't work for bicycling, even at just 10mph. Just as I was concerned, because of how the item is put together, the item snapped mid-way during a bike ride. I think that it may work for a stroller or a walker, but even then, the method in which the device holds an umbrella is not sturdy, or perhaps you may just have to use one of those micro-umbrellas for just 1 person.

Great wheelchair umbrella holder
This umbrella holder works great on my husband's electric wheelchair. I did have to cut off a small section of the foam on the handle of the wheelchair so that I was able to properly tighten the clamp. It is very versatile and can be raised up high enough for me to walk under it. It bends in all directions and can even be bent all the way down out of the way or when the wheel chair is loaded in the car once the umbrella is closed. If you have an automatic open umbrella you have to use it in a manual mode.
