Fell in love with this oil!
I recently started using Oshima Tsubaki Japanese Camellia Oil, and it’s been a game changer for my skincare and hair care routine! The oil is lightweight and absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and moisturized without any greasy residue. I’ve also been using it on my hair, and it adds a beautiful shine while reducing frizz. It’s perfect for both dry ends and my scalp, keeping everything nourished and healthy. The only downside is that the packaging doesn’t come with a dropper, which makes it a little tricky to control how much I use. Overall, I’m really impressed with how versatile this oil is, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a natural, multi-purpose product!

Right camellia type and a real Japanese staple for both genders!
This is the real deal - correct Camelia type from Japan and a staple for most Japanese households. Yhe price here is excellent and saves me time, gas, etc. This brand is the only one we use and this precious dry oil doubles as a moisturizer, primer, flyaway controller, cuticle oil, nail conditioner, many more uses. Just 4 drops massaged on face, followed by a spritz of mineral water mixed with a bit of aloe vera juice and a quick dry-off touch with rice paper is a perfect makeup primer. I use more ubder each eye at night and bit more for eyelashes and brows with camphor oil for thickness and growth..I first learned anout it decades ago from my Japanese friend who dragged many bottles back from her visits home between college terms. A bottle is generously sized and lasts almost a year with frequent use if just for face alone. Please note that most brands (even $$$$) sell the wrong genome of camelia grown in China, taking advantage of buyers' ignorance. This brand is gold standard, so don't fall prey to higher prices as a sign of quality. I am often mistaken for someone a decade or more younger. Although gentics and lifestyle contribute, this inexpensive workhorse for over two decades deserves credit. I've walked off long flights looking as fresh as a daisy (extra oil to fight dry air, doubled to 10 drops before heading outside in blustery winter cold, always carry a .5oz reusable drop dispenser in my purse and even use as a base for facial exfoliation or a base for face shaving with the longer Japanese blades (best on-going exfoliation around). Thankfully, Amazon's prices are just a couple of dollars off from my local Japanese store so no need to wait. I vary Amazon vendors, but most ship from Japan. It is my favorite stocking stuffer and beauty secret (except for telling anyone willing to listen, lol). A drop of rose oil or another fave essential oil kicks it up a notch - I've recommended it as a carrier oil for skin conditions or own-mixed fragrance masterpieces (I love my bergamot/vetiver/patchouli 'winter mix'. So, buy it, you will not be disappointed!

Great Moisturizer for Hair of Dry Environment
I bought this product because I had recently relocated to city where the air pollution is terrible and environmental factors were destroying my hair. I am African-American with a wavy straight texture of hair. I also have a mohawk. My exposed head would be so flaky, itchy and full of dandruff :(. I began to see severe split ends forming from breakage and my whole scalp was dry (even after washing, deep conditioning, and hot oil treatments and monthly hair visits to a salon) The keratin oil I was previously using would be absorbed and gone after a day of being in my head and even the product recommended at the salon was no match for this environment. This oil is GOOD, as it is not extremely heavy compared to some but would probably range as moderate. I have used many products and a little bit goes a long way so don't be deceived by the bottle (60ml is the largest of this of this particular brand). I am unsure if it is cold pressed and unrefined (I assume they claim it to be as their is only the camellia seed oil as an ingredient and maybe that is what the "100%" on the box indicates? I am also unsure if this brand is organic (there are organic brands available)? The directions for hair are in English on the box, but not very descriptive as far as to how often to apply (I assume as needed), but do indicate that thicker or longer hair may require more oil. It is not scented which I like, and even better my head is not greasy afterwords and my hair has returned to soft. I have not used it on the face as I have oily skin and can not put oil on my skin, but I imagine it might work wonders. Also, the directions for the face are in Japanese as well, but by typing in a general search I was able to find instructions and even more uses of Camellia oil, what it is and what it can do. I will continue to use this product and will recommend. In my opinion, the price is justified as I would pay more for poorly-infused keratin and argan oil products that are full of additives and don't work. This will remain in my beauty regime as long as I have access to it.

Just Ok
This oil did not moisturize my face or scalp as I had hoped. No scent but no benefit to skin that I saw. My face was dry in an hour and my scalp itched quickly after use too. Disappointed.
