VRKiX Virtual Reality 3D Glasses, VR Headset for 360 Degree Viewing in Smartphone, Compatible with Google Cardboard app, Black

The VRKIX is a great product. The viewer is very well made and extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The head straps are adjustable with velcro, but for me it fit perfectly right out of the box. Speaking of the box, it came packaged extremely well. Inside the box were of course the glasses, a small instruction booklet and a cloth for cleaning the lens and your device. There are adjustments for pupil width as well as focal distance. I am using the viewer with an iPhone 5s which fit nicely and is held in place very securely by spring loaded clips with rubber padding on both sides. The iPhone 5s is a small phone by today's standards, and there is easily more room for a much larger device. I cannot wait to try it with the iPhone 6s when it arrives. The front tray of the viewer is held shut with a magnet which worked extremely well. Nothing here to break and it has never fallen open while in use. Additionally, the front cover is also held in place with magnets on either side and easily comes off to allow for apps which utilize your devices camera. There is no built in button or trigger, but I found out through experimentation that the few times I've needed a trigger I was able to remove the front cover and wave a small magnet near my iPhone 5s which activated the trigger. A built in trigger would have been nice, but a bluetooth remote for those apps that support it is even better. I've used the VRKIX with a variety of different VR apps and all have worked extremely well. While the glasses did not ship with a QR code, which the apps can use to configure themselves for your viewer, a QR code for the VRKIX is available online at http://vrkix.com/faqs-2/Overall, I am very pleased with the VRKIX. They are a great option to experience the future of virtual reality without breaking the bank.

The VRKIX Virtual Reality Glasses provide a true 3D experience. It was easy to set up and prepare for use. I found plenty of content and apps in the itunes store. It is now in the hands of my 15 year old son and alas I may never get to use it again. A quality product for viewing VR content. A must have item.

Comfortable but not many apps. Very disappointed in the lack of experiences.

It's a very comfortable headset and the focus controls are nice. However, there are two big problems with this device. One, the field of view is very limited - content appears as a square box in front of you. Two, there is no method of input on the headset so it requires a bluetooth controller or other means of input. I'm told these issues being addressed. I very much look forward to seeing what these folks do next.

I picked this up on a whim because I've been reading all the articles about VR and Google Cardboard, and this one seemed to have the features I wanted like inter-pupil distance adjustment and focus. It turned out to be a solid piece that seems much more durable and comfortable than any of the ones actually made of cardboard could be. However, one big problem is the lack of the button that's part of the Cardboard reference design. That means I'll have to add a Bluetooth controller to use some of the apps, but other things like the simple apps and USA Today VR work fine as is. The apps that offer a QR code scan to optimize for the headset all readily recognize the KiX.When I got this I had an iPhone 5 with a slim invisible case, which fit fine. I tried my wife's similarly configured iPhone 6, and that fit fine too. Before I upgraded to my new iPhone 6s Plus, I checked several sources that indicate that this large phone would fit. Well, I guess maybe it does, but not with any sort of case. It's a definite no-go with my minimal Speck Candyshell. I guess I'll have to use an older phone for now, because getting the tight-fitting Candyshell on and off the phone is too much work.Overall I'm happy with the purchase. It's a low cost way to check into all the hype around VR these days, which my initial experience indicates is still in very early days. Just make sure your phone fits with any case you might have on it and think about how to add a controller.

I was totally excited when I found that virtual reality goggles existed. My excitement wasn't maintained. It was very difficult to figure out how to get VR experiences, like what apps to download. Apparently I downloaded the wrong ones because the apps drained my battery. A few weeks since and my battery still hasn't recovered. I'm not sure what this headset was actually supposed to do but I got no benefit from it which is why they are currently in a box awaiting the UPS person for a return pick-up. Oh, and and just so you know, I have an Iphone 6 Plus and it fit just fine.

Pretty fun! I bought these for my nephews as a gift and the whole family had fun with them. Both boys used them with iPhones. You can see a little black frame around the picture but that's expected and typical with most of these VR devices. Note: I also bought a separate remote to allow them to operate the iphone while using the headset (so they don't have to take the phone out each time to change the experience). The remote was a separate purchase and a different brand but something worth considering.Bonus fun - try NOT wearing them and laugh at the people who are wearing them move around like they're on a roller coaster when they're just sitting on the couch.

These things are great. Bought these to modify for drone fpv but figured I'd try em out before. The kids love em. Awesome price well built. Comes neatly packaged and protected with bubble wrap and it's own carrying bag.

Nothing physically wrong with them they are as described but seemed like more of a hassle finding content that worked quick and easy and getting your phone set up with it properly. Wish there was a standard app to download that can be used for streaming vr content instead or having to download everything havent come across solid content that's easy to use and straight forward yet ...not a problem with the goggles moreso the lack of vr content available.

The lenses were already slightly scuffed and the box itself was also somewhat scuffed up when it arrived. The mechanism for extending the phone to adjust for near sightedness is very touchy and jammed on me the first time using it. Everything feels cheap and fragile except for the padding and headband, which are nice. Overall cannot recommend for the price. Shame that the lenses were already damaged.
