SHARP SJ-BB05DTXL1-EN Freestanding Combi Fridge-Freezer, Combi, 286 liters, Linox, Noise level: [Energy Class A+]

My old fridge-freezer on paper had 20 litres less volume in both compartments than this one. And yet, I managed to move into it only 3/4 of all food I was able to fit into my old appliance. This model is designed in such a way that it leaves lots of space wasted. My biggest complaint is the door and vegetable box. Because veg compartment comes up to the door, the lowest door shelf sits quite high. So, they fit only 3 shelves on the door which leaves a lot of space unused - they could fit another removable / adjustable shelf there. And although my old fridge shelves were exactly the same width, these have 5 cm less usable space each because of the design. And for veg there is only one box of a stupidly big size W 46 cm x D 46 cm x H 18 cm. It would make much more sense to divide it into 2 boxes. Now I have to buy containers to put into that box to separate my food - another waste of money and space. I wanted to use my old containers but turns out that with the same outer dimensions there is less width inside and two boxes which fitted the old fridge do not fit into this.So, if you need the declared volume, buy the other, bigger model and you'll get the size declared for this.It also seems that the temperature in the freezer is not low enough. But as I have been using the fridge-freezer for few days I cannot say for sure.To add to that, to change the side doors open is not straightforward - the holes on the very bottom on the other side are not aligned and filled with some stuff. So it is a big struggle to drive the bolts into them. I am lucky I have lots of tools, so I managed. But don't expect it to be easy as with other fridges.And what possessed the designers to make the front area between fridge and freezer dark grey on white appliance I will never understand. It looks OK-ish only on the pictures. In reality it is an eyesore.

I have taken a few weeks to consider writing this review and have decided that I really should do so. The fridge freezer itself has proved to be an excellent purchase and I am really pleased with it. I feel the need, however, to warn potential buyers about the delivery service. Quiet simply, I have never had the misfortune of dealing with a more surly, unhelpful, unco-operative or unpleasant pair of a delivery team in my life. They refused to unpack the unit, claiming it was their company's policy due to "health and safety " rules, thereby leaving me, a pensioner, with the impossible task of unpacking the unit on my own. Thankfully I was able to ask some neighbours to help me with this task. There had been NO warning whatosever in the advert on Amazon that the delivery crew would not unpack the unit or remove the packaging when I was considering purchasing it. I am convinced that they were just making this story up in order to clear off as soon as they could. Let me repdeat, they were the worst delivery crew I have ever had to deal with and I would therefore strongly recommend that prosective buyers should look elsewhere for their next fridge freezer unit.

The fridge so far is working as it should and for the price it is great. However, it does take a few days for the freezer to be cold enough to store frozen food properly.I like it overall and the product was as pictured.I don't know about other products, but if you spend a bit more you could get frost free freezer.

Avoid buying this fridge,, very poor quality and design

Great value for money. Perfect size for couple or small family. Only problem we have found is the freezer can change temperature quite frequently - sometimes we go in and the draws are frosted over and other times we go in and the draws are clear? Not sure if this is normal

I looked around for ages for a new fridge freezer and could not find the one that suited my requirements, I wanted one that was not too high, was 70/30 or 60/40 split, had a milk tray that was in the lower part of the door, but this also has the second tray up is moveable and has six positions to choose from, the freezer has three drawers the lower one is deeper but not as long due to the motor which is very quiet. The doors are changeable but there are no instructions on how to do it, so takes a bit of working out

Not a bad fridge size wise and the veg drawer does keep things fresh and crisp so happy with that. It did come with a couple of tiny scratches on front. The freezer after 2 months remains frost free but the fridge already has a sizeable chunk of ice on back wall that I wouldn't expect to see in such a short space of time. I was looking for something that wouldn't need defrosted too often and this isn't it!

Very good F/F from Sharp and lots of space, just what I needed as old one was kaput.
