2013 new monitor, bought for multiscreen, compare with ASUS
This is an initial review, I will update later with a more thorough review of the picture quality. I'm an engineer, so I'm technologically savvy and very picky, but not well versed in monitor picture quality metrics, so I will run some tests on a later date. I think it's important to state that I am planning to use this monitor for a multiscreen solution, so a thin bezel was a factor in my purchase. If you plan to line up more than one of these side by side, you would have noticed this model and perhaps the ASUS VN247H-P for their relatively thinner bezels. There isn't a whole lot of information out for these two monitors, because they both came out just this year about a month ago, so maybe you can take advantage of the research I did. When I bought this monitor the ASUS model had free shipping and a discount making it $20 cheaper, but at the time of writing that discount is gone and the monitor is actually $10 more compared to this one. I'm guessing because that monitor is very popular as well. This monitor is amazingly sleek, imagine a 1.5 cm thick slice of glass and metal, and all the connectors barely protrude out the back. The packaging it came in was two slabs of styrofoam with seemingly not much space in between, where the monitor was sandwiched. I was surprised because this monitor is actually frameless, and that was not stated in the description, which is obviously great. A comparable model with a frameless design is the ASUS MX239H, also out recently, but that one retails for $230. I really think Acer outdid itself here, but their marketing is just not as ostentatious about their product as ASUS. Why do I say that? Besides the design of this monitor matching the $230 counterpart of ASUS, this monitor is IPS! while the earlier ASUS model I mentioned (now selling for $190) is only TN! AND the stand of that monitor has received complaints to be flimsy. Not here, this stand is solid and it is METAL, not plastic! A $700 monitor I bought a few years back from Samsung didn't even have this! I doubt the ASUS counterpart does either. This is in every way a $230+ product if I use ASUS as a benchmark, which of course is legitimate as ASUS is revered as the more reliable and quality brand. This is a steal.Part of why I leaned towards the Acer because there is another reviewer, much better informed than myself regarding picture quality that reviewed about half a dozen of these screens, and gave ASUS a fairly low rating in general and said the one bright spot was another Acer he got. Regarding the IPS, I can have this screen dead perpendicular to my face and still make out the picture, it's that ridiculous. Not that you ever need to watch movies that way but if that's your thing, your time has come. IPS sells at a premium to TN so this is a great feature over the ASUS. On arrival, there are no stuck or dead pixels that I can see yet, I will check again more throughly later. One word of caution, although frameless, the screen is not borderless. Like the $230 ASUS model, the border just sits under the glass, I will update with the exact width later, but I'm guessing it's 1.5 cm. I think the fact that Acer is sort of an underdog to ASUS and has less marketing forces it to price its products more aggressively so this is definitely great value for a beautiful piece of hardware.Another thing regarding Amazon, their customer service is phenomenal. The monitor was shipped to an old address of mine. My orders default to that address from 5 years ago, and presumably I did not click my new address or it did not register. Either way, when I called, Erin H from customer service did not give me any hassle, did not charge extra shipping, and actually shipped me another unit immediately! She even put in 2-day shipping! This is unreal. So they basically took the risk of losing or breaking that other monitor and just gave me a brand new different unit at no charge with faster shipping. The unit came the next day. I honestly cannot think of a way their service can be improved. I hope Erin gets a raise. All in all, I'm glad I went through Amazon. My alternative was newegg, and nothing against them, I'm just saying Amazon is great. The monitor is spectacular. I will update later with some picture tests and metrics. I have not tweaked anything not downloaded any color drivers/enhancers as some ASUS monitor reviewers suggest as crucial for their models.

Fantastic Monitor for a good price
This is an excellent monitor. I paid about $110 on PrimeDay which was not the best price they offered that day, but I still feel like I got a great deal for my money. And I'd even confidently say that this monitor is a great deal at the price that I see it at most often between $130 and $150. The response rate is on the slower side as it is an IPS panel so it isn't ideal for fast-paced gaming. But as it is an IPS panel, the colors are very vivid and the image quality is excellent. The build quality of this whole thing is great as well. The base is made of a hard plastic that is nicely textured and it is inlaid on the underside with a metal frame that bolts to the neck of the stand. The base also has a raised paperclip symbol on it that is magnetized for organizing paper clips and things. I haven't had a reason to use this but I suppose it could be handy. And I haven't noticed it having any negative effects on any of my electronics on my desk. The stand's neck is thick and sturdy, so there is very little wiggle in this monitor besides the flex of the panel itself. Speaking of which, the panel is edge to edge glass with a small ~1mm lip on the edges. Note that the picture doesn't extend this far to the edge of the screen, however, as the outer 1/2" is a black border. Another nice thing is that when the buttons on the monitor (which are under the panel's bottom edge) are pressed, they bring up an overlay on the screen so that you can see what button your finger is on without awkwardly looking under the panel. It's a small thing but you notice it when you need it.--CONCLUSION--Overall, this is an excellent monitor that does exactly what it says it will. 1080, 60Hz and a beautiful IPS panel. A slow response time puts it at a disadvantage in the gaming department but it isn't gamebreaking and its completely unseen until you start playing fast paced games like FPS games.

Quite satisfied!
Pros: This monitor is very reliable! I have couple of them and no problems whatsoever. They have some stuck pixels, which are almost invisible thought and they started to appear after 6 month of heavy usage. And the uniformity is vary good even compared with monitors, which are more expansive. This is a good part.Cons:Eyes get tired very quickly because of very high brightness. I tried to manipulate the levels, but it is hard to get a good result. May be some calibration device would help here, but I do not have one.Colors are ok, but only if you do not work with graphics. You will not show you the full depth of the picture, unless you setup the gamma with your operating system, which makes colors quite dull. And because it is an IPS panel, it has some light-bleed visible in black scenes. And it is super glossy, which makes things worse. Conclusion:The price for this monitor is absolutely fair! If you are looking for a reliable workhorse for everyday work, this is the right choice! But don't expect 99% sRGB color accuracy from this device.

Loved It
The screen is so crisp and clear, the stand is sturdy and a good solid build. These screens go perfectly well with a triple screen setup, but do not have the screw holes in the back, which is disappointing, including the decently small power bar it comes with to power this beast. Overall its a great screen that delivers what it should, a crisp and clean picture with no delay, and its for a pretty cheap price! A must buy if wanting a small, powerful screen.

Great price and quality
Picked it up when it was $140, and it's a great 23'' ISP display. The glass screen doesn't make it too reflective and the colours are nice and sharp. The only downside would be no visa mount, but I had no need for it.Also the magnetic stand is a nice add on for securing small things like keys or pens. Especially helpful if your in an office with a clustered desk

Great Monitors.
Great price for what you get, wouldn't recommend for anyone wanting a monitor for a well lit room as the screen is reflective. I decided to buy three and there is a small black bars on the left and right of the monitors.
