Otterbox HTC2-44100-20-E4OTR Defender Series Hybrid Case & Holster for HTC Hero S and HTC EVO Design 4G - 1 Pack - Retail Packaging - Black

I have been looking into this particular Otterbox for a while. I purchased it from Amazon because it was cheaper than anywhere else.What I love about the Otterbox:-Built-in screen protector; This was the main reason I chose the Defender case instead of the Commuter case. Keeps water, dust and other debris off of my phone.-Hard-shell; I know that with this plastic layer, my phone is protected from drops.-Silicone layer; Adds protection and feels nice in your hand.-Holster; This was also one of the top requirements when I was looking for a case for my phone. Any kind of case is going to add bulk to your phone and I hate carrying my phone in my pocket. This holster to perfect. I use it when I'm at work mostly. I love that you can put the phone in with the face in or out. Also something neat about the holster is that you can use it as a stand. I don't do this too much, but it's a nice option.I only have three things that I don't love about the case:-It's nice that the holster can be a stand, but it's a little difficult to close the clip when you don't need the stand anymore. I always feel like I'm about to break it.-Before I bought this case I had another hard-shell one and it didn't include a built-in screen protector. So, I got a really nice screen protector put on my phone and it's great. I also put a skin on it. The screen protector is under the skin so I'm not going to remove it. Otterbox recommends that you do not use another screen protector with the built-in one, and I see why. The built-in protector sometimes sticks to the one that I already have. Most of the time it will unstick itself, but sometimes I have to pop the case open to get it unstuck. I don't know if the built-in screen protector sticks to the phone's screen or not.-Talking about popping open the case...No one wants lint under their screen protector or smudges. It took me a long time to clean the inside of the screen protector to insure that there was no lint on it, along with my phone. I put the hard-shell case on (which the screen protector is built into) and of course there was lint under it. This can't be avoided as we all know. So I opened the case to clean it and get it just right. Which I eventually did, but the case was SO hard to take off. I thought that I would never get it. That being said, now it's easy to get it off, but that first time was almost enough to make me return the case.Overall, I love the case. If I'm not at work and going out, but don't want my phone attached to my hip, I'll put the phone in the holster and drop it in my purse. No matter what I do, I know that my phone is protected. This is one of the best investments I've made.

After spending $300 on a new phone, I figured it was worth spending a little more to protect it.Otterbox has always made quality products and this one is top notch.It's 4 pieces all together. The phone case itself is made up of 3 pieces, 2 hard plastic parts that wrap the phone, and a silicon cover that wraps it all up. The belt holster holds it all together.When you put it together over your phone every piece fits together perfectly. There's no wiggle room or gaps.The screen protector is built into the case so there's no messing with trying to line it up, bubbles, or fingerprints.Once you have it all together you can feel the quality and you know your phone is protected.

The product broke with in the first week I had it....the case isn't very tight on the plastic, just a major disappointment

I titled this practically perfect because the only thing missing from the Otterbox case for my new HTC EVO Design 4G is style. As with most products like this I will generally choose function over form, especially when it's primarily function is to protect an expensive investment, but I just think it would be nice if the makers of Otterbox would start adding some colors and designs to their cases. I really think they would sell even more since many people choose style first or may shy away from the Otterbox solely due to its lack of style. I was very close to buying a different case due to color/style but it was only the product reviews of both that swayed me to the Otterbox....if the other case had received as good of reviews then I would have chosen it. That said, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and will definitely purchase Otterbox cases in the future and as long as Amazon has the best prices then I will buy from Amazon! I believe I saved around $10 (counting local taxes) by buying my Otterbox on Amazon.com.

Super solid and protective.. Bit bulky.

The otter box is great ! And if your wondering this one comes with the built in screen protector. A very nice product that I recommend to anyone debating wether to get one it not

Even though at this time the case is probably worth more than the phone, it has protected my precious work phone admirably. Even though I lost the holster when I stupidly left it in a warehouse clipped to a pallet that got brought to the dump, forcing me to carry my phone in my pocket all the time, the short time I had that holster it cradled my phone in its grip like a pitbull on the mailman. Ive dropped this thing so many time and it has never let me down (the Otterbox for my Blackberry years ago wasnt as protective...3 foot drop and the screen shattered....didnt like that phone anyways). This one protected the screen as well as the sides and back...a necessary feature for people clumsy like me.

This is supposed to be the finest, toughest, most durable cell phone case on earth. I bought two and broke the first one in three days trying to make sure it closed securely after my phone fell out a couple of times. After that, i went back to my old unreliable case and haven't bothered with the second one.The company, OtterBox, did say they might give me a replacement if I sent a picture in ten days, but as always I put it off until too late. besides I never felt that my phone was securely attached to my waist.The merchant who sold me this and Otterbox were all good. My complaint is solely on the design of the product.
