Color:Polished Nickel Steel The PolarDawg is the cap for the Optimus Polaris Optifuel stove. The new cap reduces the loud and noisy jet sound from your standard Polaris that includes a flame plate. It also enables you to simmer at lower flame levels that the Polaris with the flame plate cannot support. Because the burner in the Polaris is not the same as the one in the Nova-series stoves, this silent damper cap is the one you want to get for the Polaris. It works well with all three fuels the Polaris supports - even isobutane canisters in inverted mode. The PolarDawg silent cap is also excellent for use with the Trangia X2 75001 burner made by Primus.
