GREAT FOR CHAPPED LIPS
My lips get very, very chapped in the winter. I have tried out all kinds of products, and this is my favorite. I put it on at night and then a few times during the day. It isn't a miracle worker, by which it means that it takes a little bit of time to really work. But if I use this consistently (meaning, a few times per day), my lips stay nice and smooth. That is much better than I can say for Chapstick or other lip balms! The salve has a very subtle, pleasant rose scent. I like this a lot, and I can't imagine that it would be offensive or bother many people. It's really quite subtle, and you only smell it for a few minutes. Also, the tin lasts for a long time. I've had one tin for about 3 years. I use it mostly in the winter, but it's still lasted me a long time! I'm only now buying my second tin.The tin's directions also say that you can use the salve on your hands and cuticles, and I've read that you can use it to smooth down fly-aways in your hair. Personally, I've tried it on my hands and haven't felt like it was that great. But for my lips, it's wonderful! I will keep buying more.

The best of the best.
Literally the only type of lip gloss I've used over the last 10 years. You can use it on your nose when it's allergy/cold season to soothe the burning of constantly blowing your nose. You can use it on your baby's butt when that diaper rash flares up. You can use it on your hands when they're super dry from cold winter air. And as a lip gloss, it's perfectly sticky (but not too sticky) and perfectly shiny (but not too shiny) and tastes great (but not any sort of overwhelming flavor, just a splash) and one tin can last a long time depending on whether you use it for just lips or on everything. Also, don't leave it in a hot car, it'll all melt to one side and then the lid is super hard to get off and you'll end up with it all over your hands (but then you can just rub it in and it's no big deal.)

ROSE.......BUD!
GREAT PRODUCT! Since using this product my lips are not suffering anymore. I've always had chapped lips, and since using Smith's Rosebud Salve chapped lips are slowing becoming a thing of the past. I'm not a huge flower scent person, but for this, I'm you're #1 FAN! TY!

LOVE the product, HATE the tin case! Best at healing chapped lips!!!
I love the formula, hate the tin it comes in. It arrived all goopy in the heat of summer with the seal not doing much good to prevent this product from getting on everything else in my Amazon order. Even after cleaning and drying the outside of the tin case thoroughly and using it for a few weeks, it has been very difficult to open. I don't dare put it in my purse due to how it arrived and even for morning/night applications it's hard to get open. (still confused about how it leaked so easy but I can't get it open when I want to?)That being said, I've had terribly chapped lips that only this stuff and the green blistex "nurture and nourish" will heal. I've tried many other brands and nothing else is nearly as effective as those two. So now I'm using this in my drawer at home where it stays out of the heat and can't spill on anything, and the green blister tube in my purse. I'm up in the air about reordering because I do like this stuff but really hate the tin. I'm wondering if I just got a defective one.

but is great to use overnight and wake up with soft
I have been buying and using this product for quite a few years. It does need to be reapplied during the day, but is great to use overnight and wake up with soft, smooth lips. Always take with me while travelling - I just put a small amount in a smaller container, and it lasts for a long time. Unlike some other reviewers, I never had a problem with opening the tin. What I don't like with this last purchase, the smell is more vaseline than roses, and the consistency is much softer in the tin, so when you pick it up with your finger, you pick up a lot more that you actually need to. Therefore, 4 stars. Other than that, I will continue using and ordering the product. I like it better than other types of lip balm.

Hydrates and moisturizes well! I love it!
This purchase was my first time trying Rosebud salve. I am pretty picky about lip products but I really like this! It doesn't add color to your lips but gives them a little gloss. It's not too glossy though, just enough to give you a smooth, shiny, natural well hydrated look. It does have a smell but it is very faint and smells nice. The Rosebud salve has quickly become a favorite and I've gotten a few friends hooked on it as well. It really does help hydrate and moisturize dry lips.I read on their website that you can use it on your knees and elbows for dry skin but I haven't tried it yet.

Still works beautifully
I first learned about Rosebud Salve in the 70's from an ex boyfriend! He worked outside so he liked carrying it around in his pocket to have on hand. I hadn't used it in a few years but since my lips have been very dry, I thought I'd give it a retry. I now remember why I liked it! It has a very, very slight rose scent and it slicks onto your lips, immediately offering relief from dryness and cracking. It's easy to toss a tin in your purse, desk, by the chair in the den, so that no matter where you are, you have relief at hand! I like the French Bilingual just because (smile).

Good brand, but the product in this tin is bad
I liked this product. But the product coming from Amazon melts in the hot summer. The cream leaks outside, and makes the tin very hard to open. Once you open it, half of the cream is on the lid. It is so creamy and messy.I did subscription. The two orders I received with one month apart all had the same problem, so I had to stop the subscription. I ordered from drugstore.com before and never had this problem. The tin from drugstore is a little bit different, and the cream is darker, and in a more solid state.
