- DEMANDS AND NEEDS: This insurance meets your demands and needs if you wish to protect your new or desertcart renewed product against accidental damage and breakdown (not covered by the manufacturer’s guarantee). - WHAT'S COVERED: Immediate protection against accidental damage, along with cover for breakdowns and faults not covered by the seller/manufacturer warranty. KEY EXCLUSIONS: The following are not covered - Theft, loss, cosmetic damage, intentional or malicious damage, not taking reasonable care, improper use (as defined in IPID), accessories not included with the product when purchased, electronic virus or software problems, or the contents of your product (e.g. data, photos, videos, contacts)
- CLAIMS: No excess to pay. Upon a successful claim, if your product can't be repaired it will either be replaced or we'll issue an desertcart e-gift card to the value of a replacement. Upon replacement or e-gift card settlement your policy will end. 98% of claims accepted (avg. Apr-22 to Mar-23)
- RESTRICTIONS: Covers a single product purchased on desertcart as new (with a manufacturer guarantee of at least one year) or desertcart Renewed. If you are unable to provide the insured product at point of claim for inspection it will be classed as lost and not covered. We will perform a maximum of 3 repairs in any 12 month period. Cover is for UK residents (excluding Channel Islands and Isle of Man) aged 18 years and over.
- CANCEL ANYTIME: Full refund if within 45 days and no claim has been made. Otherwise pro-rated refund based on remaining term less claim costs.
