OMG! Get this PathBrite Headlamp! Just click the mouse and buy. I bought a big brand name headlamp at an outdoor retailer known for their camping, hiking, biking, and climbing gear for my husband. Then, I got jealous of his new headlamp, as I was still carrying a different brand with a less powerful beam. I wanted to buy the exact same headlamp for myself that I had purchased for hubby, but I did not want to spend the big bucks. With our two-week Great Smoky Mountains National Park hike approaching, I just decided to purchase this one, based solely on the great reviews. And am I ever happy I did. I am not typically jealous of anyone having anything, which is why it was so strange that I envied my husbands new headlamp. I would probably have been in a bear's belly, had it not been for this headlamp. The park had closed campsite 113, due to dangerous bear activity. The detour that we ended up having to take, was to campsite 92. Due to my forgetfulness (requiring my husband to hike back to Fontana Dam, earlier in the day), we ended up having to hike in the dark. This PathBrite Headlamp threw such a powerful and concentrated beam, it was practically like hiking in the daylight. This is a must have for everyone. Keep one in your car; keep one in your BOB (bug-out-bag, for the unfamiliar), but just get this. You'll thank me later! This is by far the most impressive headlamp out there.You're welcome.Oh, yeah, and how could I forget to tell you this part?! Now, hubby is jealous of MY headlamp! Better headlamp; better price! That's what I'm talkin' about!

We received the head lamps on a timely manner and we just love it. It's really bright and love all the features. We especially love the IR hands free operation! I've never seen this feature in any other head lamps before! The head band is soft and flexible yet sturdy and comfortable. The battery compartment is a snap to open, unlike others we've had which required a screw driver or which needed to be pried open. And it's great that it comes with a Duracell batteries already included! All in all we are extremely happy with our purchase.Will give an update after some use to see if it continues to operate as well as it does now. I've read so many reviews on OTHER headlamps which worked great initially but did not last long at all. I hope this is not the case with your headlamps.We appreciate your promptness in expressing interest in our feedback. Most merchants are never heard from again after the purchase but in your case your after care concern is much appreciated!UPDATE: All I can say is WOW! We've had the opportunity to use the headlamp at night on our 3 acre property and this little headlamp really lived up to all the tasks! It's illumination is so bright, it blinded my husband for a few seconds when I accidentally looked directly at him. And talk about reaching! I can see about 100 yards easily on high beam. The beam has a focal spot light in the center and the rest of the light spreads about 10 feet wide to see the sourrounding areas with ease. And the IR feature is truly handy when u want the light to be turned off instantly and turned back on instantly without fiddling with pushing the button! Hands free! We like it so much we're buying two more as a back up for both myself and my husband!

I have one complaint:I did not receive my headlamp on Friday the 13th as indicated when I placed my order. I received it on Monday 11/16. I needed the headlamp for a 15-mile training run on Saturday 11/14 at 4:30 AM. Too late. The one I currently have (another brand) is not as bright as when I bought it, which I used on that run. Not good. I called Amazon and we worked out the issue.On the good side:I tried on the headlamp over my running hat in the dark in my house.1) I love how bright it is.2) I love that it is adjustable.3) I love that it is lightweight.4) It says "waterproof"...I hope so, but I won't know for sure until I run in the rain.I cannot wait to use it on a run!!!

In a word – outstanding. This light does exactly what I wanted it to do. I have to walk my dog thru the neighborhood during the dark and rain of winter evenings. I am 65 and it can get awkward and even dangerous out there. I bought the light hoping we could take this nightly journey in safer fashion. Wow. No kidding. What a relief. We can see!When passing the first person I encountered, I asked him if the light was blinding, hoping it wasn’t. He said politely, “kinda”. A block later I adjusted the band and put the light around my neck. Perfect. It was still comfortable, but it lowered the light to shine on the ground in front of me even better than before, and it lower the central beam so that it does not blast an oncoming pedestrian in the face or blind an oncoming car. Have now also found that I can lower the intensity, which gives me more options.Your product appears well designed and built. It is very comfortable to wear, and easily adjustable. Have I missed anything? I don’t know what more I can say about it. Truly, it is not often that you order or buy something that turns out to be even more useful and better made than you hoped. As consumers, we are frequently disappointed.I wish you every success, and thank you for making this head lamp available to me. You have contributed to my quality of life.

Works well, very bright,seems well-constructed. The Seller was very prompt and thorough in responding to a couple of q's I had, it was a Good Thing. I'm not star-rating it as I don't have much experience w/ or knowledge of headlamps, but am betting that, for the price, this one deserves 5 of 5. OK, so I was made to star rate it to complete this review. That's why 3, not 5 stars & now my point is made moot. ty amazon

Received the headlamp and it did not work. Two of the clips that hold the batteries in place were missing. I was able to get this light to function with some parts that I had available. This was less trouble for me to fix than send it back. Not impressed with this product.
