Worked great on 1999 Yamaha Road Star
I chose the Barons kit because it seemed the most complete and came with the bowl screws in an allen head, which is far superior to the factory phillips head that often strip out.

Bought a used 2001 Roadstar with aftermarket pipes and aircleaner and the re-jet made it run heaps better and really woke it up with a much crisper throttle response and much more pull throughout the power band. Totally worth the money and easy to install at home with basic hand tools.

Great kit.
Instructions were included as to which jet to use if you had an aftermarket air cleaner or if you had aftermarket exhaust. Wish it included a gasket kit as well as a new needle and seat

Required for your Yamaha XV1600 or XV1700 if you have an aftermarket Exhaust & Air Filter
Exactly what's necessary for your Yamaha XV1600 or XV1700 if you have an aftermarket exhaust (RUSH) & Air Filter (K&N RC-1980). All you need to add is a Mikuni Pilot Jet (N224.103 40) for the XV1700 or a Mikuni Pilot Jet (N224.103 37.5) for the XV1600. And while you have the carb open you might as well check the Rod Set (accelerator pump), replace the Needle & Seat (2C6-14190-30-00) if you're going pumpless or at least a carb rebuild kit (K & L Economy Carb Repair Kit - 18-5188) and add a Barons PMS Screw (BA-2150-00) to fine tune it. Hopefully then you won't have to open it up for a long time. Cheers!!!

Perfect for my Roadstar 1600
Follow the directions and do not go off of the Roadstar forum. Worked on the carb 5 times to get it to run right, all along the directions were exact. Well put together kit and the needle is worth the price of the kit.

Much better fuel econ and throttle response
I bought my 05' Roadstar with Vance and Hines longshots and an unknown carb upgrade. Always had throttle hesitation and at best got 33 mpg, even after K&N air filter, ported intake, and adjusting carburetor. Followed the kit instructions and went down 2.5 on main jet and installed new needle. Throttle respnse is now instant, and now averaging 39 mpg, while not losing any power.
