BLACK+DECKER HPB12 12-Volt Slide-Pack Battery

When ordering online you sometimes wonder about the product. My old battery for the B&D Drill was not charging and so the drill was of no use. I checked with Amazon and found the proper replacement. Not only was itwell described but it was reasonable, the delivery was sooner than expected I would not hesitate to purchasenot only replacement parts but original tools from Amazon. I have purchased books for myself and gifts!

The Black & Decker HPB12 is an old standby drill that is useful for common household use. Simple jobs like drilling screws into plywood, loosening screws from a rack, making a thin hole on wood for pre-drilling. The original battery lasted about 3 years. Not bad for leaving it charging the whole time. I would definitely recommend this inexpensive replacement battery. Remember to save the earth and use the free recycling service by calling the telephone number on the sticker.

This is the third replacement battery that I had to buy. One battery broke after it was kept connected to charger for too long. The other stopped working for no good reason. I have two Black & Decker drills that are otherwise excellent. Therefore, I had no choice but to keep replacing the battery.

The above battery arrived as promised. It had to be charged, which was fine.It also came with a battery cover which was handy for when the battery is charged and off the screwdriver--almost never needed as I now only have one functional battery)THANKSPS. Here's a thought---when I shop in a physical store, I do not come home, Sit down and write a review of the merchant. I expect the purchase to be as advertised, function as billed with no surprises. Why would it also be necessary to type praises and thanks to the store or persons filling my order.Someone has was too much time on their hands---it is as if when I make a purchase,I have incurred a social debt to review the seller. THAT IS NONSENSE.

The batteery works great and last much longer that the one that came with it. i am ver happy. Used it all day in bulding a dec & it lasted all day. NO charge required. I charged it over night and used it again the next day. did this for 5 days.

I'm a simple homeowner who maybe uses the drill/screwdriver to which this battery attaches once a month. But when I do get inspired to do handy work around the house it would be nice to pull on the trigger and have power. The first time I used the drill with this new battery it worked just fine. The second time, however, not at all and today, after letting it recharge for 24 hours still nothing. So until I find something that retains a charge its back to using the tools that my grandfather and his grandfather used.

My drill lasted less time than the original battery, but I needed a spare for the exact same drill I replaced. This is a great price, not outrageously heavy, so I have no trouble with it, as dainty as I am.

I bought this as a replacement for the battery in my cordless drill. After 5 years the old battery would not hold a charge anymore. The price on this was okay but after a few more months I decided that a 12v drill was not cutting it anymore. Do yourself a favor, save your money on this and put it towards a new drill. Get an 18v drill. The newer batteries out now have smart charging, last longer and are more powerful. 12V is not good enough anymore when you can get a good 18v drill, have it work longer, charge faster and be more powerful.
