As a sales representative for industrial fans for the past 5 years - this fan is a great fan. Which is hard to say as this brand is a competitor for us. It is at a great price point for its design/quality, in my line of work in fans, you get what you pay for.What attracted me to it was the heavy pitched blades, this will allow air to scooped and propelled downwards quietly and efficiently at low RPM speeds.I uploaded a couple photos of my application. When I moved in, the current ceiling fan was a basic residential model and did not work, my space is an octagon shape atrium that stretches to 22' at the peak and is 18' wide. It took some creativity to install it up there alone, but it assembled easy and looks fantastic.It DOES come with a single pole switch with 4 speed settings(kind of cheapy looking to me). The fan motor is VARIABLE, so, if you do not wish to be stuck with the settings they give you, can order a Solid State Speed Control to set the fan at any point of its RPM range.ONE ISSUE(4 Stars) I do have with this fan is its slight motor hum. My home rests on a top of a canyon hill in a secluded area and is dead quiet. When the fan is operated at what would be about 'low - medium' RPM ranges, I get a rather audible motor hum. However, I operate at full speed 24/7 and the only sound it creates is from air turbulence, and motor is silent.PROs:-Style-Efficiency-Sheer Volume of air-Motor Sound on high is silentHave gotten several compliments on it and it totally transformed my space. Its a great fan and worth the cost.UPDATE **** 7-31-15Somewhere along the line of using the fan has ceased making the humming noise. It is a completely silent fan in all RPM ranges. I don't remember the last time I heard it! So don't let my notes sway you from making the purchase. I could have had an anomaly. I have changed the rating to 5 stars.

I am very happy with these fans. It is difficult to find damp rates fans to accent outdoor areas. These are great even though they do not have light kits. The two low speeds, in my opinion, are pretty useless but my fans are placed at 10’ in an open pavilion, not really a fair comparison if used in a closed room. Also, I am dealing with south east Texas heat and I am pretty sure that in the heat of the day, with as much air as these move you could classify the pavilion as an outdoor air fryer. The fans move a lot of air and are quiet enough for outdoor fans. If you are looking for zero noise output, these aren’t for you. Due to the pitch of the blades these fans do make some noise on high speed, but that is the purpose, to move high volumes of air. You will be hard pressed to find fans that move as much as these do. After installation, one fan had no wobble and the other had a small amount, but not enough to warrant using balancing weights to try to remove the wobble. This was observed through all speeds. The fans are heavy for their size and seem well built. The down rods are Emerson specific and are not the same size as the one you find at big box stores. You can order longer ones or you can use 1/2 schedule 40 black pipe. If you can’t figure out, how, or have the tools to make your own then I would suggest ordering them. I did not use the controllers included with the fans, I ordered 4 speed Emerson remotes. These are the only 4 speed remotes I could find anywhere, and I am quite happy with them. Overall, I am happy with all aspects of the fans.

I currently have three of these installed in my home. Two outdoors under a covered lanai and one inside my garage. I am extremely satisfied with the design, function and overall operation of these fans. So much so, I have ordered a fourth one for inside the home. They move A LOT of air and are quiet and wobble free. O,k I did have one that wobbles but I discovered that was due to the actually box it was mounted to wasn't installed correctly. (the box in the ceiling moved causing the fan to wobble) Once I secured the back box, the wobble went away. You won't be disappointed.The CFM's it moves are great and the price in my mind for the size and function are worth it. It has a reversible switch, but thats on top of the fan. So you would need a ladder to switch it in the winter months. I live in Hawaii, so it will never be used. ONE NOTE: Make sure the switch (top) is in the right position when installing, mine was in the middle position (on the garage fan) and it wouldn't work, I though I had wired it wrong. But in the end it was the switch wrong position...basically OFF!!!!

Overall, this fan works really well. I purchased an extender as I installed this to my vaulted ceiling. Setup was quite easy except two small problems: 1.The screws or holes to attach the blades didn't fit as easy as they should have. They included one extra screw, I stripped out two. 2. The wire nuts to install the switch are way too small. Beyond these issues. The fan is quite well balanced, didn't require to add the included weights, it looks great and performs exceptionally well.

6 months in with this fan, I’ve been impressed enough to come back and recommend it. It’s still running completely silently, self-balanced, moving a tremendous volume of air, and looking good in our living room.It’s installed in a big city with disgusting air that deposits a sticky layer of tar and dust on any surface over time, and that’s gummed up other fans we’ve had, reducing the blades’ effectiveness and making the motor noisy over time. Not only are these blades easy to clean, but the housing somehow seems to shield the motor from the nastiness in the air.Coming from basic-grade ceiling fans from the home improvement store, I’m pleasantly surprised by the way this one is good as new.

Nice looking fan, easy to install. Only downside is that the fins are plastic. But works well.

Best fan on the market. Great air flow, easy to hook up and looks fantastic.
