These 3-dimensional (3D) puzzles are the perfect wooden toy for the junior woodworker or puzzle enthusiast. The pre-cut wooden pieces simply push out of the plywood sheets and make an enjoyable cuckoo clock. Use the included sandpaper to touch up rough spots then assemble according to the diagram. Stain, paint or leave wood natural. Fun and easy to assemble for kids ages 6 and up. The cuckoo clock also includes a quartz time-only clock movement, hour, minute and second hands. Clock assembly hardware is also included. Clock movement requires one AA battery (sold separately): Replacement parts are not available for these items.

A gift and they love it

Cheap product
The wood is warped and makes the whole clock not fit right. It has to be sanded and shaped before it can be put together. Cheap balse wood and not worth the price.

poorly made
This is billed here as a puzzle, but on the box more of a craft project. Calling it a puzzle seems to be a polite way of glossing over that the instructions are comically bad. There is a sheet of paper showing the various pieces in very small print, with the slots and tabs numbered. The instructions essentially tell you to look at the picture on the box, follow the numbers, and figure it out yourself. The idea that this is suitable for a six year old is absurd. Even apart from the inadequate instructions, there are many small pieces, which have to be punched out from the sheets of balsa wood and carefully assembled. Few six year olds will have either the cognitive or the fine motor skills required. This is a project that will rapidly be reassigned to a parent.Beyond that, the quality control is poor. The pieces don't all fit together well. Worse, the pieces are scored to punch out from the sheet, with shallower scores for decorative effect. It is very easy to break the pieces along those shallow scores. There also were missing pieces, in my case the clock hands. Then there is the casual mention in the instructions that some pieces will need glue, not included. Finally, once it is all put together, it is very delicate. If you want to keep it, it has to be out of reach of young hands. Myself, I am letting them have it, knowing it will soon be destroyed.
