AVOID - Quality declines after 1 year
I never write Amazon reviews, but I am so disappointed with this product that I wanted to write one in the hopes that others will avoid the mistake I made in purchasing this laptop. The laptop was great in the first year, with the exception of WIFI issues (which other reviews also mention). I had to get a WIFI extender just to keep this laptop connected. Even then, it is a pain to keep it connected to WIFI.Then after a year of owning the product (after the warranty expires) the quality of this product declined significantly. The keys on the keyboard are literally FALLING OFF. Not just the keycap that is easy to press back on, they are coming unhinged to the point where I have to unassemble the entire key (including hinges) reattach the hinge, and then put the keycap back on. It started with the "E" key and now almost 5 other keys are loose. This has NEVER happened to me on any laptop or computer. I'm a pretty handy person, so I tried to fix it on my own because the manufacturer was so unhelpful. When I reached out to the manufacturer, they said the only option was to ship my laptop to the warehouse and wait for them to fix it. Since it was past the warranty I would have to wait for them to evaluate it, THEN get a quote for repair prices, and then they would fix it and return it (undefined length of time or cost for all the steps above). Like most people, I can't just wait for my laptop to be fixed. I need it for my job. So I did not go that route and am band-aiding the laptop until I can afford to purchase a new one.So, yes, the laptop is very lightweight and has a good battery. But the laptop has a very hard time staying connected to the WIFI, and once that 1-year warranty expires, the laptop starts to literally fall apart. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Do yourself a favor and buy a different, more durable and long-lasting laptop. There is NO REASON that a laptop should start to fall apart 1 year after purchase.

Screen fails after 6 months, poor repair service
The product was nice (very light) --- when it worked. It started failing after six months, and the in-warranty repair and service have been unsatisfactory at best. It reflects poorly on product, repair, and service quality. After six months or normal use, the screen started having serious, sporadic, recurring (daily) problems, for no apparent reason. See attached photo for one failure mode among many.I sent it in for in-warranty repair. It took altogether 10 days for them to email me a return label and to repair in their facility. (I do not count the shipping time beyond their control.) That's not superfast but tolerable --- if the repair worked. After it came back as "repair completed," the problems were worse. The attached picture was taken AFTER the repair. When I called for next step, customer service was limited to poor. I was forwarded around. When an agent took my call in earnest, the connection was poor and the background noisy. I could hardly understand him. Over almost an hour, he could only tell me to send it in for another repair, while asking me repeatedly what the problems were and telling me what the first repair had done (which obviously didn't help and was irrelevant).LG's owner portal invites "direct" feedback to "President Customer Care," saying "actions speak louder than words. I assure you that, in response to your feedback, I will act accordingly to direct my team to do what is right for you ...". Very inviting words. After I wrote, a "Presidential Liaison" did call back promptly to educate me on their repair policy: three failed repairs before refund or exchange. Then, "apologies" for the "inconvenience." So much for "actions."Right now, I'm still for the second return label and looking forward to weeks of fun in the second and maybe third rounds. Regardless of how this ends up (maybe it'll be fixed or eventually replaced or refunded), I've learnt enough about LG.

Fast, light weight, great battery
Some of the reviews refer to what I would call a "sticky" touch screen that is not smooth all the time--they are correct but the touch screen is good, just not great. The picture clarity is very good, high res, good color. The number one thing I dislike about this otherwise awesome laptop is the audio sound---no clue why LG put the speakers on the bottom under the touchpad on each side corner. There is plenty of room on top and some space for speakers. Depending on how you set it and lay it on the surface, the volume can be muffled. The speakers seem good but are not in a good place. Must be how boards lay up and limit in the build of where they could go. Get some Bluetooth speakers if you want excellent audio to match the video. But if you don't listen to YouTube or watch Netflix or Prime, no problem but if you want to watch shows and movies you might be disappointed with the speakers as your only source.

Amazing laptop!
Bought this to replace an HP Envy laptop. While I liked the HP i did not like anything about HP service and vowed not to buy another. This was recommended by a friend and I am so glad she did. There are really only positives: it's lightweight, has a long battery life, did the initial start-up in a very short time, has a fingerprint sign-in (praise the Lord), starts up in a couple of seconds and has a touch screen. I simply love it. If I had to say one negative thing it would be very petty - I would like the plug for the AC on the opposite side. I recommend this laptop with no reservations.

Ease of use
I am still getting used to the touch screen but I am going to love it. I already find the lap top to be a nice addition to my home!

I have been using a 17" Toshiba during my College Studies, but it became time to upgrade since I've graduated. This is definitely an example of such- an excellent upgrade!

Battery Much Lower Than Advertised
Battery was advertised at 17 hours. Was getting 4-8 hours of battery life. Also, keys on keyboard a little compact due to keypad. Laptop is amazing is pretty much every other way.Great screen, great portability, great performance, thunderbolt 3 port.
