Best Landscaping Tool EVER!!!
My new go-to gardening/landscaping tool. Lightweight (less than 5 pounds with a 3 AH battery), versatile, ergonomically comfortable (easy to switch from left hand to right hand when getting into tight spots), easy to use one or two handed. Using with 3AH batteries - gives me plenty of time to work. I always need a break before my fully charged saw runs out of battery life. FYI - this is not in use for mere landscape maintenance. Husband (with chainsaw) and I have been slowly hand-clearing quick growing invasive trees from a half acre lot. You can’t imagine how fast these demon trees grow lol. Chainsaw is too heavy for me and way too much maintenance. This wonderful “grab and go” tool is a game-changer, allowing me to get into tight places my husband hasn’t had a chance to get to yet. Easily saws through up to 4” branches, would probably do more, but safety first. Also cuts through roots with no worries about running into rocks (my carbide blades actually cut cleanly through rocks - just once by accident, but boy was I surprised). The only thing it won’t do is cut thin, floppy branches. Since the saw goes back and forth, it just grabs those and shakes them. Minor, since I can easily cut those with loppers anyway. I would have gotten one of these years ago if I had known how life-changing it would be. Love this tool! :-)

Great product, prompt delivery
The order arrived when promised (within 48 hours) and the delivery driver actually walked down our 1/5 mile icy driveway in the dark. It arrived in excellent condition and works well. A good quality product.

Good quality like you’d expect from Dewalt. Very happy with this purchase.

Light Weight, powerful tool
I have been looking at Reciprocating Saws for some time now and found this DeWALT tool that is just the right size for an older craftsman like me. I used this light-weight saw to make short work of a wooden gate on my fence this morning. The box contained the saw, two blades (one for metal and one for wood) and a belt hanger. As with most DeWALT tools, I recommend this to anyone who is looking for lighter weight tools that still perform well.

DeWalt 20 V reciprocating saw
Dewalt 20 V automatic reciprocating saw works great the short body makes it easy to use in tight spots. We use these tools every day on the job site.

Great tool, but arrived re-boxed (be aware)
Edit: I had to go back and look, but I actually purchased this via 3rd party seller “American Deals✅”, which was the default prime seller. It appears they will sell “opened-box” (and then poorly repackaged) as “new”, please check 3rd party seller reviews before purchasing! ___________ Just arrived this morning, purchased “New”directly from Amazon, not listed as “open box” but received packaged in plain brown box and items loosely packaged inside. Original manu. Dewalt boxes will have internal spacers to keep tool and components from knocking around becoming damaged in transit. Tool smells brand new (brand new plastic smell), so I do not believe it has been used. —— Re: tool itself: Having used this tool recently in comparison to both Milwaukee compact m12 battery recip saw and Milwaukee full-sized corded recip saw, can confidently say it outperforms the m12, which might not be fair since this is a 20v and not it’s direct competitor), but adds a negligible amount of weight. Vs my full sized corded recip saw, given a large enough battery on this (5 or 6 A), performance is pretty stellar and I don’t foresee a lot of situations where I will be picking the corded over this compact except in cases of very heavy demo over a longer period of time.

This Is A Mini-Monster
As a woman said in her earlier positive review, my primary intended use for this saw is landscaping tasks , though I imagine there'll be the occasional rusted bolt or padlock with a long-lost key, and after some testing I think its going to be perfect. I don't have a lot of land but there are a few shrubs that my wife thinks should be allowed to grow free until even she can't stand it anymore and about a third of the land I do have is wooded mostly with oak trees. Oak trees drop not only more leaves than you can possibly imagine but also branches and lots of acorns that want to grow into more oak trees. Its a constant battle to get rid of the fallen branches and the saplings. Anything bigger than 3 inches or so is a job for the chainsaw and I have a couple of very nice manual pruning saws, but power is always better than manual, especially since I'm not getting any younger. This compact Dewalt saw is light is light, maneuverable and powerful and it will save a lot of time and energy. Since tools like saws and grinders draw more power than drills and drivers, I got a couple of after-market 6 aH batteries for it and these will keep it going longer than I do. One word of caution, though. If you have any questions about your new tool, don't bother calling or emailing Dewalt customer service. They apparently know little or nothing about the tools they sell and cannot answer even the most mundane questions, instead referring you to an authorized service center. Huh???

Hardly any vibration and has plenty of power...
I have used it several times in the past month to prune true branches and it worked like a charm. Hardly any vibration and has plenty of power.
