This worked for me in my FreeNAS 11.3 server without any configuration steps or drivers to install. I plugged it into my server and it was detected with no problems, I was able to assign an IP address and connect to other devices on the network. I don't know about the quality yet, but being able to connect at 10gig speeds for this price seems like a good deal.

I'm not sure if that's because I didn't have the enterprise-level cooling in my personal PC, but each card shut off because of overheating after only a few minutes. Before that it works.

Used in an HP DL380 G6. Card would run for days then start intermittently generating errors. Discovered after the 'warranty'/return window ran out though.

recieved 4 and put them in my hp proliant dl360 g8 (3) and 1 in a dl380 g8 work perfectly

Although the network lights were blinking like crazy the network card did not want to initialize within the OS (Proxmox).On some of the reboots we even got PCI Initialization Error and the computer would not boot.We had an identical card we once bought on ebay but with low profile bracket. We swapped the long bracket from the card we bought on amazon to the card from ebay and after install the ebay card worked like dream in our Ceph clusterSo the specific model of this card is good as inexpensive 10Gb adapter but some are defective.

Everything I needed it to be, 10gb connection to my media server. Make sure you get the proper drivers!

Installed, ran for ~5 min, and then the nic shutdown due to overheating:net enp8s0f1: Device temperature 108 degrees C exceeds maximum allowed. Hardware has been shut down.Burned hand trying to remove it from the server.
