Bottom's Up Hind-Leg Mobility Support Harness Leash, Black

We had a few options for help with surgery recovery when my fur baby had some hind leg weakness. This was useful have her had some use back, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a dog that can’t support any weight with his hind legs, because of the placement only being under his legs and no weight is distributed any where that can bear the weight. (Like a rear-lifting harness)That said, once Teddy was walking a little again, this was perfect for quick potty breaks where squatting was a chore. Thankfully we aren’t needing it now (knock on wood), but keeping it in my doggo first aid kit just in case.

I bought this for my 15 year old lab (~80lbs) whose arthritis got so bad he needed help getting up and walking. Putting this harness on is so difficult if you're dog cannot get up on his own and stand still for you to to put it on and adjust it correctly. Once your dog is up and the harness is on it works okay. But for my dog who could not get up on his own this harness was useless. I would recommend one that you put on the dog and leave on for dogs who cannot get up on their own.

My dog is having back issues which have resulted in his not being able to use his back legs. He is about 45 lbs. This Bottom's Up harness has been a huge help to me. It allows my dog to use his front legs to move while I lift and support his back legs; I'm able to get him out of the house to do his business. I had both my dog's vet and chiropractor watch me walk him with the harness, and they both were OK with it and felt that it was a great tool to help with his healing.

We purchased and received, in a timely manner, the Petmate Mobility harness. We bought this for our senior pup (he is a Hovawart) who is having issues with his back legs. The harness was new and packaged very well....so well I couldn't open the plastic without breaking out the scissors! It appears to be a quality harness, however, we were greatly disappointed that it didn't fit. Our dog is 95 lbs and it's advertised to fit 12-125 lbs. Maybe it would fit a dog that is 125 lbs and hairless. We had it set at the widest opening and it seems it needed another inch or two...we have decided to donate it to a local shelter rather than return it but we would have rather it had lived up to it's advertisement. Maybe our dog is within weight limit but he is wide at the hips and I am sure the fur doesn't help. Maybe a suggestion to the manufacturer would be to provide a measurement guide, as well.

Have a 95 pound collide that is 11 years old with hip problems and trouble walking up the 3 steps from the garage into our home. It's OK but difficult to get on as you need to slip the legs into it and it would have been better to have something that could open up and snap together. As it turns out we can't use it. It's not of poor quality if you have a dog that is smaller and can step into it. Of course if the dog can step into this you probably don't need it. Gave it 3 stars as it is what was advertised despite it being hard to get on a big dog.

Works great for my 80lb shepherd who had spine surgery to fix a herniated disc. Gives him the support he needs to get back to 100% without breaking my back in the process. Well made, comfortable (I'm guessing as I don't speak dog) and easy to use.

This product is not easy to use and it is not comfortable for your pet. Spend a little extra and get something more padded that offers more support.

Product is well made and easy to use. Unfortunately, my dog didn't really like to try and walk with it.
