Will Velcro stick to the rug? I have a kick block (it’s a product you put in front of bass drum so it doesn’t move, the bottom is Velcro)

Will this be enough to protect my new hardwood floor? I am not sure what to buy, but protecting the floor is a huge priority

Can this be used on top of an oriental rug?
