will this dock and remote work for a Zune HD ?

Yes, but I wouldn't buy it. Doesn't come with the speakers and it doesn't work as well as the normal old head unit if you have an hd.

does it include speakers?

No it does not. However it does have rca cables that can connect to audio equipment that have speakers, as well as the headphone mini jack that can also be connected to audio equipment.

Will this work with the original (1st gen) Zune? It says v2 and I wasn't sure if that meant v2 of the dock, or newer Zunes

Honestly not entirely sure, I run with my hd 16g. Works well, and came with an assortment of adapters. Although be weary, the speakers do not come with it.

Comes with the charging cable?

The dock is used as a charger; it didn't come with a separate charging cable. I purchased a Zune replacement cable separately for a few dollars on ebay or Amazon.
