Grannick's Bitter Apple for Birds
Grannick's Bitter Apple for Birds is the only product that I know of that has any effect on "feather picking" due to behavioral rather than organic issues. If your bird is suffering from mites, etc this product will have little if any benifit. If your bird has picked up this habit from boredom or frustration, Bitter Apple is certainly worth a try. My African Grey was cured of his inveterate feather picking with this product. Do not expect overnight success, it can take a year! Although this is trying on one's patience, I know of no other treatment that works.

Must reapply.
I believe it works and keeps other birds from picking, but it must be reapplied daily, and my chickens are hard to catch.

May not work
Didn’t stop my African grey parrots but they are pretty determined!

Doesn't Work, it's That Simple
This doesn't even remotely work for birds. Tried a few times. You're better off teaching your bird instead of spraying this stuff all over the place. Give them enough to do and let them know when they are doing something wrong, this is probably a better method to getting them to stop biting things. Also, if your bird has problems with feather plucking.... there is something seriously wrong and a little spray bottle is not going to help them. If your bird is plucking, do some research and see a vet instead of spending money on this. I'll be returning it.

Didn't work with our parrot
As many parrots do, our Goffins Cockatoo loves to chew on wood and especially the edges of doors and trim around the doors. I purchased this hoping it would dissuade our bird from such behavior but it did not. I thought that perhaps it would only work if it were wet so I sprayed some on a cardboard (which she also likes to chew on) and offered it to her and, again, it did not dissuade her.

Works ok.
Does deter my birds from picking for short amount of time, so I end up doing it several times a da for minimal results.

Didn't work. Sprayed all over my ceiling fans since my lovebirds have been chewing on them. Doesn't deter them at all wet or dry. Maybe for a different type of bird.
