Boombotix - Boombot PRO Bluetooth Speaker, Taking Music to The Next Level, Gunmetal Gray

I’m not exactly an audiophile but I can tell clean sound from dirty sound. The sound is loud. Very loud even on minimum volume. Max volume gets a bit distorted but travels well. The waterproofing works if you have the hatches buttoned up properly. The highs and the bass seem a little off but phone speakers, A50 headphones, and the Boombot obviously sound different from one another. The battery, in my experience, lasts for friggin ever, and I can let it sit around for a while, turn it on, and it’ll still have a ton of charge which is great.

If your looking for a portable speaker with a great sound and good quality workmanship this is your product. The clip is kinda hard to open but take scissor and pry it from the back just a bit and the clip works just fine. I do recommend this product to everyone Boombotix just opened Pandora's box to a new meaning of quality listening.

This product was actually for my brother but it plays so good I am going to order myself one. The sound that comes out of this speaker is so loud and clear. For such a small speaker it plays like it's a big boom box..great product

I clip this to my backpack strap so I can listen to music and GPS directions from my phone as I commute on my bicycle through city streets. Compared to the smaller Boombot Rex, the bass is heavier, while mids and highs are about the same.The highs are not crystal clear and sound muddled compared to the Oontz Angle 3XL, which has tweeters separate from its midrange driver; thus my rating, if it were based solely on audio quality relative to other water-resistant portable bluetooth speakers, would be 2 stars.But due to the Boombotix PRO's built-in clip (which is pretty solid and has a very strong spring to keep it securely attached to my backpack strap -- no competing product has a clip like the Boombotix), good bass output for its size, and low price, I give it 4 stars. it works very well for its intended use.The controls are fairly easy to use, and the speaker has decent audio volume.Highly recommended if you want a rugged speaker you can hear through traffic noise.

This speaker is great, until it isn't. Useful life is short and, as other users have mentioned, customer service is terrible.I bought my unit in July and it used it daily while bicycling, as the clip on the rear is great for attaching to a backpack/messenger bag. Sound and functionality are superb, which is why I gave it any stars at all. Unfortunately, the unit stopped working in February, one morning it simply would not pair with my phone, despite repeated reset attempts per the website's instructions. To make matters worse, several e-mails and phone calls to the Boombotix support line over the last month have gone unanswered. I'll not be buying from this company again.

Road-tested on the streets of San Francisco for 1yr and it's a beast! Originally wanted this for the 2GB onboard flash storage so I could rock tunes sans device while riding (shuffle!). Much safer to have folks hear you coming than a bike bell, especially at night. Now I also use it with various devices around the house, park, and yes, even the shower sometimes. It's survived a 3' drop onto asphalt with minor cosmetic damage but plays perfectly. In case you were curious, the front grille can be removed if you twist it counter-clockwise. Since the fall, said grille is a bit loose so it's secured with a piece of gaff tape just in case. Haven't taken it underwater but it plays great after riding in wet weather, getting splashed in the shower, and I even washed it under the tap for testing (you're welcome). The clip is STRONG. But it doesn't hurt to check that it's secure periodically - this is how it fell from my bag on a busy street and skidded across the pavement!

Can't beat a Boombot for the sound you get from the size. And for $20, it's a great value. I haven't used the internal hard drive at all, but the bluetooth works great!

Worked great. Sounded great. 3 weeks later it won't turn on. Doesn't work at all.

Resiste y suena muy bien, pero el clip no asegura (no tiene un agarre) de manera confiable. Recomiendo asegurarla con una cinta, no confiar en el clip.
