Fisher-Price Backyardigans Sing & Spin Pablo Doll

This guy is too cool. I bought him for our 19 month old daughter, who adores the Backyardigans. She was a little skeptical about the big Pablo at first (she actually cried a little when she opened it), but once she realized he would sing and dance with her in the kitchen (carpet is NOT his friend) he quickly became her favorite toy. He will sing and dance the theme song by pushing one flipper and play short games like "show me your best move" or "Pablo Says" on the other. Our 3 1/2 year old loves him too! His quality is excellent; I see him lasting a very long time. He uses 4 AA batteries and, despite all he does, doesn't drain them, even when you leave his switch "on" all the time (There's another plus!: ON/OFF). I very highly recommend Sing & Spin Pablo.

I purchased Pablo for my son at 18 months old. This is the youngest age recommended by the manufacturer and I can see why. To activate Pablo, one must push one of his flippers. It isn't very difficult, but a child must be patient enough for you to show them where to push. Also, Pablo must be used on hard flooring. My son learned how to operate Pablo on his own in about 4 or 5 days, but he often puts him too close to the carpet or the wall & then Pablo stops and my son gets frustrated. All in all, this is a very cute toy & my son has enjoyed dancing and spinning along with Pablo. However, it is a little loud and it runs through high quality batteries rather quickly.

My daughter is in love with this thing.....Her old one still sings and spins...but somehow the paints off his eyes....i say he is blind...lolShe had drawn a bikini on him and he was just wore out from her loving him. I think she likes him because he stands up and she can put clothes and hats on him. She doesn't even use the sing n spin mode. I wish I could find more dolls like this that stand up and are heavier and don't get knocked over. My daughter has Autism so she loves lining things up or stacking items. This is her most played with toy...not because of music or dancing but because it has some weight to it and its big enough to put clothes and hats on...HINT HINT Toy makers. I have looked all over and haven't seen anything that serves that purpose well. She would love to have the whole back yard gang I am SURE OF IT!!!Angel was younger when she had her first one...she has not attempted to tear this ones eyes off or draw on him. My daughter is soon to be 8 and is mainly non verbal Autism...but she knows what she wants or likes. This has to be an all time favorite for her.

My twin 18 mo. old girls are absolutely frightened of "Tickle Me Elmo", but for some reason can't get enough of Sing & Spin Pablo. They watch Backyardagains as their treat before naptime and they always want to play with this toy either during or after the show. One of my daughters has even started dancing a bit like this Pablo doll as a result, and it's just cute. If you have children who love Backyardagains, this is a must. Stock up on batteries though, it's a battery muncher!

This is the second time I tried to post a review. Don't know if amazon is censoring reviews.Bought this toy through wizard. Got it on time. When I opened the box and tested the toy it worked great. But when I brought it home that night to show to my daughter (she's 8 months), the toy would spin and walk. It would sing fine, but when Pablo tried to move, his gears would make this grinding noise. I couldn't believe it! Other users have pointed out that cheap glue was used in the manufacturing. When that glue ran out, it wouldn't allow the gears to spin. I should've gotten an RMA, but we still like the songs.Don't buy this cheap product. Stay away!

My daughter is a little young for this toy, but she loves watching them on TV so we thought she would enjoy this. I have to say that I wish we would have waited for her to be a little older. He has a function that is somewhat like simon says and she just is too young to get that. But I think for older kids it's a great buy. Just remember to pull out the tab from his battery pack or else you will only get the short song like some of the reviewers had.

I bought this for my daughter's fist birthday as she absolutely loves the backyardigans. She carries this around everywhere. She dances to the songs as well. It doesn't move well on carpet but she doesn't care. If your child loves the backyardigans and especially pablo they will love this toy.

My [...] son is a huge Backyardigans fan, he loves the commercial for this toy so I decided to get him one for Christmas. He played with it for about 30 minutes and hasn't picked it up since. He prefers his beanie Pablo to this spinning noise maker, lol.
