UPDATE: The basket is peeling. I use it 4 or 5 times a week and always spray olive oil in the basket from a hand pump I purchased. I will use parchment paper from now on. I really do love this air fryer but am disappointed the basket black coating is peeling.Turn fryer on 400 for about 20 minutes 3 times before using it to get rid of the plastic smell. I use my fryer 3 to 4 times a week and there is no plastic smell. Do not us aerosol oil spray because it will damage the stick free coating. I bought an oil mister for $10 and I no longer use the canned sprays on any of my stick free pots and pans. I put oil in the mister which is cheaper than store bought sprays.This air fryer gets hot inside but not outside. You need to reduce the cooking time for non-frozen food. French Fries are crispy. Salmon is delicious and you don’t have to flip it over if you put it on a rack. You need to cut a thick chicken breast in half to have a narrower piece. Otherwise, it takes too long to cook. I really love this machine. I bought one for my granddaughter and she sends me various foods that she cooks. She said the Brussels sprouts, sprayed with a little oil and seasoning were crispy and delicious.

This fryer came quickly and unboxed easily. Looks great on our shelf. Super easy to use and comes with included instructions for easy quick delicious stuff. We threw some Pam on our fries to get them a sort of oily taste all while avoiding the heavy fry feeling.

UPDATE! The day after my 5 star review this fryer stopped heating. I am so upset! I loved it but having the heat element blow after less than 8 weeks is a sign that something g is terribly wrong. I must therefore revert to 2 stars. It worked great until it prematurely didn’t. Amazon has been great at helping me resolve the issue and is refunding the purchase price! ( Below was my original review)This is my new favorite kitchen item! I held off for a while to see if my friends liked their air fryers before I bit the bullet. I learned from them that they loved it and used it but the one common thing they complained about was the size. They all said they wish they had gotten a larger one. So... when shopping for my own air fryer I wanted to go big. Even though it is just the two of us, we usually take leftovers for lunches so I still cook a larger quantity. This fryer is wonderful! It’s huge, quiet and cooks well. Chicken wings, bacon, Pork chops, fries, veggies, etc...it does it all! Clean up is easy if you wash right away. I did let it go over night once and had to scrub, my fault. Anyway, this is a great air fryer and well worth every cent!

I hate cooking but a friend was raving about her new air fryer and I was intrigued. She said she has two, one cost $200 & the other cost $80. She LOVES the $80 one, a Gourmia 7 qt model. I found lots of very easy recipes. I have made stuffed jalapenos wrapped in bacon, crusted mango wedges, southern "fried" chicken, green beans. All turned out fantastic! Crunchy, juicy, tastes like fried without the guilt & fat of oil! And clean up is SO quick & easy! Just wash the removable fryer "drawer" & done! Highly recommend!

It cooked my chicken to a crisp even without bread crumbs. I also cooked Brussels sprouts in it and it tasted like restaurant quality. The machine is large which could hold a lot of food at once. I would recommend to make sure all pieces of protein are lying flat as one breast of chicken was on the side of machine (I was cooking a lot at a time) and it didn't cook as fast as the others. Overall I would definitely recommend this air fryer.

Purchased this product on March 1st and have really enjoyed it up until the 3 month mark when the handle broke on the basket. It appears that the handle is connected to the basket by three small screws held in by plastic. The plastic broke off around the screw heads. This product has been gently used approximately 2-3 times weekly for three months. We really liked it before it broke. Maybe ours was just defective but surely it was meant to last longer. Having a hard time finding a replacement basket as well. If the seller reads this please provide a method to get replacement parts of how to file a claim for the one year warranty listed on Gourmia’s website. Thank you in advance.

Originally purchased smaller model (6 qt GAF625). Loved this product, easy to use, worked great, but wound up giving it to a family member. I then ordered the larger model (7 qt GAF718) NEW but when it was delivered, the Inner product box had been opened and re-taped. The handle was broken and the front panel was in PIECES! Returned product but re-ordered same model USED. Received today, product does appear new however the inner box was opened and re-taped but the instruction book and recipe books were missing. Have a call into manufacturer customer service. Amazon not taking phone calls. Plan on keeping as long as it works and documentation is received.

This machine has changed my life ! Ive tried several others and prefer Gourmia by far. It is a cinch to operate and totally reliable. The enclosed recipe book is also a plus.The reason I did not give it a full "5" is simply because I need to yank the basket out . Either its a very tight fit or is it my arthritis objecting ? Nevertheless, I recommend it to all my friends and family and would buy it all over again, if need be. You will be delighted !
