Coralife 08624 T5 Actinic Lamp, 6-Watt,9 -inches

As this item was classified as a lamp, I thought it was going to be a lamp, as in the fixture you put the light bulbs in. Instead what I was sent was the bulb, pretty useless as I don't own the lamp that it goes in and don't care to spend $60 on a small fish light. This was definitely a case of false advertisement.However, when I called the company and asked for a return or refund, they gave me a full refund and were very courteous.For that reason alone they got three stars. I can't tell if the bulb is actually good or not because I didn't want to buy the bulb and have no where to test it. The company though is one I'd recommend as long as the buyer stays away from 'lamps'.

Unless you're runnign a pico (not nano) aquarium, like something under 8 gallons, then go find something bigger. I bought these tubes and now I'm just looking for something bigger for my 10 gallon. If you're running a FOWLR then this might work for you, if you've got corals, find something BIGGER! But for the price and for the size, it's exactly as stated and does what it's supposed to.

I got this as a replacement bulb for my 3-gallon aquarium. The actinic bulb was just not bright enough for my tank. I've seen other actinic bulbs in use that were much brighter. Not worth the trouble of returning, but I took it right out after a couple of days. Perhaps if there were more than one bulb, it would have been sufficient...

Works great. Used this with a 10k light bulb and makes water look nice. I have it on my 150 gallon tank and use it for night time.
