Stranger Things: The Complete First Season 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray (A Netflix Original Series) [Season 1 4K + Bluray]

Great story. Incredibly charming actors. I watched the entire series in one sitting.

I won't be reviewing the show here, as everyone has seen it and loved it. Instead this is merely on the packaging.Loved the VHS style look of the cover. The cover has a little synopsis of the show on the back and a cool picture.The front of the case looks very 80's. Like when you would go rent the latest movie at your local store.Inside the case the "VHS" tape slides out and nostalgia washes over me. It looks just like an old VHS tape with the be kind rewind stickers. Inside the "VHS" tape is a free poster which is a promo shot for season 2. With the boys staring into a red hued sky looking at a giant monster.There is also the 4K version and the BluRay version inside. It is pretty sweet. The episodes are even listed on each disc, which is very handy.

Physical media is unfortunately slowly becoming extinct, it's hard to say if anything will revive the popularity of physical media, but It's collectors boxes like this that we'll keep physical media alive.Stranger things is fantastic in so many ways and I'm just blown away by the quality of content we have here. This is a great release, looks absolutely amazing. No atmos audio or anything just 5.1 but still sounds really good, and they make a good use of all 5 channels. I don’t really have many complains except one, every episode starts with a non skippable trailer for season 2, which is extremely annoying especially if you are a first time watcher since the season 2 trailer spoils parts of season 1. But other than that it is a really good release for fans.

Stranger Things season 1 is a masterpiece!This 4K Retro boxset is amazing!!😻 I also love the score on season 1.

This looks and sounds AMAZING on my 4K home theater. The case is also a lot of fun, my kids love pulling it off the shelf and putting it in our BD player, it's been great during COVID.

I have tried playing this on three different blu-ray players and none of the disks will play. Note that one set in the box is 4k and the other set is blu-ray. Don’t waste your money on this.

Once Stranger Hearts began, I could tell it would be different. The pace is slow moving, but refreshing and thought-provoking, like a breeze that give you just enough warmth and just enough chill at the same time. The acting is spot on. I could spend paragraphs on the subtleties of what these people accomplished with nuance. I care about the characters, I want to know them, I want to talk with each one of them.A couple of minor editing issues, but mostly it added to the intent of the cinematography, which is a feeling of being a voyeur in some of the most intimate crossroads in a gay person's life.Highly recommend this series and looking forward to more from Thornton and crew.
