Graber Decorative Curtain Rod Bracket Projection Extender, Brass

I am not sure what the other reviewer was reviewing but this product met my expectations. First of all it did come with a screw and a square nut. The product is designed to be used with your own brackets so it gives you instructions on how to configure them together. This got the curtain rod a full 8" beyond the wall with my 4.5" brackets. Now here is a little history: My wife wanted to hang another Valance further out from the Valance that was already up there. It is more decorative and matches other fabric in the room. I needed to get at least 7" further out from the wall. There are very few items available but you can find them. I did an extensive search online and found two available via BB&Beyond, however when I went to the store they were not available. So I did in-fact go to Lowe's and they did not have anything that extended beyond 4.5". Keep in mind that the bracket I am using is an L shaped bracket with a cup like bracket on the end where the curtain rod sits. Our curtain rod is only about 1/2" or so in diameter and I did not need to buy a bigger bracket that was in the $20 range from other online retailers. I am not sure why the curved end is on this bracket unless it is for stability. I attached per the directions. I purchased 3 of these brackets since the curtain rod was over 6' in length and though not heavy, it still needed a middle support. My wife couldn't be happier and that is worth 5 stars for me. : ) I have now added two photos. They show one bracket and an extender added so that I could get the length I needed. put the extender between the wall mount and the curtain rod holder so that it is sticking out the furthest you can go.

These are just what I was looking for to extend the current brackets that I have on the windows. They are only an extension, not an entire window bracket on their own. They were easy to install, and they gave my new curtains extra room to clear the window sill and give them a more expensive, decorator look. One star off for only coming in one color. I bought some spray paint and matched them to my existing brackets myself. Easy enough, but extra fuss. But this kind of hardware can be so difficult to find in stores even if you know exactly what you're looking for , and to find it here and have it delivered, cutting down on disappointing trips to multiple stores is well worth a quick coat of spray paint.

I haven't used this bracket yet - just wanted to emphasize that there is only one bracket included for $13. I mistakenly assumed that there would be a pair of them for that high of a price - especially since one bracket is kind of useless. Will update rating when the other bracket arrives and I can actually try them out with the rod.Update after installing: I needed to buy 3 of these - one for each end bracket and one for the center support bracket. They are sturdy and work well for the purpose.

Great hardware for putting curtains over installed door blinds. Wished I knew about these earlier, but these brackets allow you to put a curtain rod out and away from the wall (i.e. over the ugly blinds in my new apartment). Very easy to use and install and you can use your own, regular curtain hardware with this to just go further away from the wall. Not sure what a 5-star experience would be, so I'd give this a 4.5 stars. They're not inexpensive, BUT they really fill a need and if you need 'em it's worth the cost. Recommend.

Way too expensive for one piece of metal.

Works perfectly! I needed something to extend the curtain rod beyond my vertical blinds. I was unable to locate anything in the big box stores, and didn't want to pay the price for custom made rod holders. These brackets provided the extra depth needed to hang my curtain rod.

Exactly what was needed, didn't have to shop far, found them right away.

Product worked as needed. There seem to be no other alternatives out there if you need to extend certain types of curtain rods beyond the usual length of 4-1/2" . This did the trick and the price was reasonable. And did I mention, easy to install. Give this one an A+!
