Flowmaster 530504 50 Series Big Block Chambered Muffler

UPDATE BELLOWTo start off let me say that Flowmaster builds a great product and what they describe is usually spot on. So when they say this muffler absorbs resonance and eliminates sound in the cab they AREN'T KIDDING!I had this installed on a 2002 2500hd Silverado with the 6.0L Vortec extended cab long box. I ran it with no muffler at all for about a year. It was cool for awhile. Roared around town and all that redneck stuff. But I got sick of it and after my last road trip I was done with that. Shopped around and ended up getting this muffler. My gut told me to buy a dual in/out Super 44 but I didn't want to risk highway drone.So, after getting it installed with tailpipes straight out the back I took it for a blast down the interstate. I was shocked! Near stock sound to my ears. It was much more comfortable to ride in but I was disappointed not being able to hear my pickup much at all.In conclusion, if you are sick of drone and have a 6.0 vortec, this is for you! If you're still a young guy, like me, this won't satisfy your muscle car side. If the sound changes after awhile I will edit this review as to if I like it anymore or less.UPDATE 4/26/2017Just did a 900 mile road trip with the new exhaust and WOW! I'm super happy with how my truck purs along. Even when I kick it into passing gear it's just a pleasant rumble. I will say at low rpms there is a bit of drone but I don't find it to be an unpleasant sound at all. I am very pleased with this muffler and highly recommended it.

Exactly what I was looking for!! I have a 2001 Chevy silverado 2500HD gas that I had this installed on and it's great! Not too loud inside the cab, no more drone to drive me insane! I had a dynamax on previously and it was terrible. Wish I would have went with my gut and bought the flowmaster to start!! It's sounds great. I wanted an exhaust that screamed when it should and then shut off on the highway and this is close to that as you can get!!

It's definitely louder than thought it would be but not too loud. Sounds good. Good sound at cold start, quiet on the freeway and around 2000 rpm. You can talk and think in the cab without the drone being too much or having to speak over it. Gets loud under load. Good unit, good sound. I have a Chevy 6.0L.

Nice heavy duty muffler. Has a nice sound out the back and be droning sound in the cab.

I have a 2001 Chevy silverado 2500 HD extened cab short bed with the 6.0 L vortex. I highly recommend this muffler to anyone arrested in adding sound and performance to there truck! I am really pleased with the sound quality. Hope to be posting a video of it soon so you can hear for yourself.

He was fairly happy with it. It's just louder, than he figured, it'd be.
