Fit is really nice
Fit nice on bike but a 7x4 inch radio is too tight needs a little more room .

Absolutely the worst
When you first pull it out it feels cheap. Tried installing it….. that’s where the fun began. First off it fits super tight around my stock handle bars. so tight you can barely push down enough for the side bolts to start. I removed so material to ease that but then my panel that goes over my ignition switch with my accessory switches wouldn’t fit AT ALL! So I had to trim the top edge of that off. All my gauges fit not great so I wrapped them all with two layers of electrical tape and that seemed to tighten things up. Now here comes my favorite part! I bought a Boss marine grade head unit, or rather my wife did for Christmas. Well, I went to try and install it and guess what, didn’t fit. So I trimmed the opening enough to get the head unit to start in just for it to go in about two inches and dead stop! Guess what, “double din” from metra apparently doesn’t mean “double din”. This head unit won’t even come close to fitting. And if I did manage to get it in further it’s probably going to ride on top of my handle bar clamps and get beat up from vibration.What metra should say in the title “to be used with Sony XAV-AX7000 only!” Because apparently that’s the only “double din” head unit that will work. Obviously the fairing has been modified and can’t be returned which is fine, if the head unit can’t be returned I will be making it fit. If it can I will return the head unit and buy a stock inner fairing and never return to this garbage idea. Metra, I used to love your car installation stuff but for motorcycle stuff I will never touch another one of your products.

Missing parts
Missing the radio bracket and didn’t realize it until I had it painted to match my bike!!! They won’t send me the piece !!! Talked to Metra and they can’t because I didn’t get it from them !!BUY DIRECT

Can’t beat the factory feel and look.
Nice design for a factory look and feel. Gages and speakers fit perfect. Huge difference in the sound with the 6.5 speakers with no amplifier. Easy to follow downloadable instructions. I did mine in about three hours. This is an aftermarket part and the only thing I found is there is a little gap when you put the outter fairing on between the two about where your wind deflectors would be. This is no problem. A small section of weather stripping will cure that and never notice it. Great product
