SharkBite 3/4 Inch Pressure Test Kit, 100 PSI, Push to Connect Brass Plumbing Fitting, PEX, Copper, CPVC, 25489Z

I needed to test a long run (400') of 1-1/2" PVC water line before I buried it to make sure there were no leaks. Once I had the right fittings I pressurized the line through the schrader valve and left it overnight. It lost a couple of PSI but I attribute that to temperature change in the pipe (in the hot sun, then in the cool morning shade). I buried the pipe and it help pressure throughout that day. After a couple weeks, it slowly lost most of the pressure (could be a slight leak in this unit or in the rubber-stopper "Oatey" end cap I used for the other end?). Overall, it worked for the job.

Worked as it should. I should have purchased two as I was disappointed with a 60psi unit I got for the gas service.

This gauge works as intended. It was a good value for the price and arrived quickly. Note that the black cap covers a bleed port.

Used to pressure test an underground gas line. Very happy with the performance and helped pass my inspection.

Dear God! Exyremely poor quality control. I bought three of these and have spent more time chasing the leaks in these gauge assemblies than the systems being tested. Out of the three I've got one good one so far. Taken apart and put it back together using good plumbing practices. What a joke.

It was simple to install an held pressure for 2 full days.

Where to start? Why does this listing have the company name "Sharkbite? in it? It is manufactured by "Cash Acme." Description says push to fit, but it is threaded, obviously. I knew that before I bought it though. Also says it goes up to 200 PSI, but like the pictures show it only goes up to 200 PSI. Not that you'll want to inflate it to 200 PSI anyway.No matter how much thread sealing compound or thread tape you use, it will leak. When I first screwed this to an actual shark bite fitting, I could see brass shaving coming out of the connection as a turned. This must be too far out of spec to form a good seal. There are plenty of other similar products at similar price that probably work better. I'd spend your money elsewhere.I bought this to test for leaks, so needless to say I was pretty annoyed when I got out the soapy water spray and found that the only connection that forms bubbles was the connection associated with this product.

Description says its a sharkbite 3/4 inch pressure tester. It is not a sharkbite as in the type of pex connection, its a threaded connection.

Had to return the first one but received replacement right away and it worked well

Perfect gauge that works as advertised.

Worked well to test in floor heat system prior to and during concrete pour.

Although it says it's Sharkbite it isn't. It's 3/4" FIP. Guage works well and is accurate. Good quality

Had to pressure my hydronic radiant floor loop to test for leaks. Tool worked well .
