Great product for a side hall entry
I installed this and ran into a lot of issues but none of them were the fault of this product. I cut the hole using a carbide hole saw. Installed the base in the wall and fished the power down to an outlet in my basement. I used a clear liquid nails caulk to secure the mount to the wall. It holds so much better than the double stick tape. Make sure you pay attention to the instructions on which way the notch is supposed to face for the power cord.Next was setting up the the base. That was very easy since I already have a nest account and other nest products. Here comes the tricky part:1 - since it is wall mounted you need to turn off the motion detector on the nest guard(base) itself. Your window, door & motion sensors can all work as normal but you will get a lot of false alarms from the base.2 - if you use any kind of whole house WiFi in addition to a standard wired/wireless router you need to connect your nest guard to the main router for initial setup of the window/door sensors. As I stated before this mount is a fantastic option for a clean install and would highly recommend it!

Finally a way to mount this to the wall!!!
I think that its a huge flaw that google/nest has not figured out how to mount their product to the wall. I wanted the keypad in my mudroom which does not have a shelf or flat surface to set the nest guard on. For the last year it's been stuck to the wall as shown in my picture. I used command strips and then tried to hide the cord behind the mirror so the whole thing looked ridiculous but I was willing to accept it in order to have the security system. Im so happy that Anco created this mount! The install was very easy. It took less than 20 minutes and it looks like a professional alarm system now. The color is slightly more yellow then the unit but if it really bothered someone they could easily paint it. The room that I have it in only gets artificial light so I dont think its very noticeable or else I probably would have painted mine. I ran the cord through the wall and have a plug directly below the guard so it comes back out of the wall and then plugs in down below. This required a second whole to be cut and also a cable plate to be installed to allow the cord to come back out of the wall.

easy install
and before anyone says it, i know google stopped making the nest guard. but for around 200 bucks it's a cheap alarm system. the main reason i bought this is when i removed the keypad from my old alarm there was a huge hole in the wall. so instead of buying a shelf for it i got this. awesome mount you do lose motion sense with it but since most are by a door a nest etect isn't far.NOTE!!!!!there is an install video by the reviews. unless you don't care if you house burns down and your insurance company won't cover your loss then by all means follow it. for around 100 bucks get a licenced electrician to place an outlet in the same wall cavity so you can drop the power cable for the nest through. just saying splicing an extention cord is NEVER, I REPEAT, NEVER a good idea

Someone finally delivered what Nest refused to develop... and it’s excellent.
Finally after nearly a year of begging Nest to develop a wall mount for this product, I found this little gem. I ordered it immediately and just finished the install. I am absolutely thrilled with how great it looks and how easy it was to install. It took me about 10 minutes and the results are exactly what I was hoping for. Excellent product and I highly recommend. I would have given it 5 stars but it had one tiny flaw to keep it from being a 5.0... the plastic trim ring is not bright white like the Nest keypad. It is slightly off/white/yellow probably due to the fact that it is 3D printed and the plastic used likely discolored. I fixed this by applying a couple of coats of satin white spray paint and it is perfect.

Works well but be aware that you'll lose some functionality
The product works well. Please be aware that you'll need to disable the Nest Guard motion sensing functionality in the Nest app or else you will get motion false alarms. Instead, you'll need to install a Nest Detect sensor in the area where the Nest Guard is installed. Also, you will lose the "Panic button" functionality as it will no longer be accessible. As far as installation goes, you'll need to install it close to a light switch which will allow you to wire the power directly to the light switch power using the female end of a simple extension cord. This way you can keep all the wiring inside the wall.

Looks fantastic. Must be willing to go without motion detector on the main unit.
looks Fantastic! The main motion detector is located on the front so obviously its blocked being in the wall. Luckily there is enough motion detectors around from window and doors so not a big deal. The other draw back is that if you walked by it it would light up indicating if it was armed or not. But I just always assume it is.Lost the one star only cause of The loss of functionality other than that. It’s great. Easy to install, just cut a hole in the wall and slide in and screw into place

Will need motion sensor disabled. Wish it could be metal..
This thing is made of plastic. It's awesome that there is at least an option for a wall mount. But I would much rather have one made with a hammered copper trim. This also will not allow motion detection on the guard. -but you can still use motion from the door sensors. And the volume is still plenty loud with this thing mounted in the wall.

Motion Detection Sensor capabilities...
Its simple yet easy to installPlastic color not matching with the Nest deviceAlarm not as efficient anymore being buried in the wall , Its loosing its value..Paint chipped off the screws but i've used my own screws so its not a big dealI would've used flush or counter sink screws ,...overall its not bad.
