I would not recommend this item
This item is rated to hold 2 pounds of weight and it can after the reel has completely played out. It was my impression that if I mounted a tool that weighted 2 lbs this "TOOL" would hold it with the reel fully coiled. In fact I attached the lanyard to a 8 oz power supply and it could not hold it without fully extracting the cable from the reel. I addition I was looking for retractable reel that can lock at a given length..The way this tool is made if you attach it to your belt or a belt loop it is more likely pull you pants down or rip the belt loop off you clothing.I would not recommend this item.
