dCables Nikon D70 USB Cable - USB Computer Cord for D70

Although the package is marked "mini USB to USB Type A for Nikon D-70" this does not fit my Nikon FD-70. I am sure it would not fit ANY Nikon D-70 - the connection to the camera is the wrong shape and size.I just looked at and enlarged the photo of this cord on the product page. If I look vv closely, I see that the camera connection appears to be the correct one for my camera - but that is not the one that was sent.Evidently, this is a quality control issue, or perhaps whoever in China packed the cord into the package could not read or understand what he/she was packing - this is not a criticism of the packer as much as it is a criticism of the manufacturer's quality control.This thing will go back, and now I will continue to search for a genuine, accurate, appropriate cord for my D-70.

I am new to the camera world. I love how easy this is having a cord that will let me download the pictures into my computer. I just plugged it in and searched in my computer for D70 and it came up right away. The reason I bought the cord was due to card issues. This cable does not fit my Nikon D70S camera. The square end that should connect to the camera reception port is way too large and will not fit. The USB end is fine but we will have to return it, as it cannot be used to download our photos. This is the second one we've bought that doesn't fit, even though the product photos indicate otherwise.
