Fullfilled A Bookshelf Speaker Need
I was looking for some bookshelf speakers that had good quality with a natural wood finish to compliment my new entertainment system upgrades. After doing some research on line, I decided on these speakers. An outstanding value for the price. Sound quality expectations can really vary between customers. It is not easy to find a natural wood finished cabinet in a price range that seems reasonable. These little speakers, for the price, I felt the quality of the sound and craftsmanship of the exterior cabinet finish were a very good value.

Great for the money
Paid seventy buks and it's more than worth for it. Good enough for substitute for an LCD TV speaker or as a surround speaker. If you are serious about music, look somewhere else.

Very nice speakers for the price
I'm using these speakers - with the Pyle mini 15w amp also available from Amazon - on my desk, playing sound from my PC and occasionally my PS3. I don't consider myself to be an audiophile, but I do have a discerning ear and a collection of headphones from Sennheiser, Grado Labs, and Sony. These speakers are a good value for the money. The midrange and treble are great, and while the bass isn't stellar, it's better than I'd expected given the size of the speakers. The stereo imaging is good. I've listened to a wide variety of music through these speakers, classical, jazz, country, and rock, and all sounded very good.Note that despite the item description, these speakers are indeed sold as a pair.

Excellent book shelf speakers.
Highs and mids sound crisp and clear. Not much low end so adding a sub is a must. Looks beautiful and feels nice and sturdy. These speakers cannot be beat...I got these to replace some Maudio AV40. These sound alot fuller, better midrange and bass. I have it hooked up to Harmon Kardon receiver and use it to listen to music at my computer. Also have Polk RTi8, Rti12, CSI3. Overall polks do not dissapoint they are great value speakers. Highly recommended. (listen to mostly R&B, Rap/hip hop, 80s, pop and techno)

Incredible little speakers!
These speakers served as my main TV/music speakers for the better part of 2 years before I got a new stereo/surround system. They are excellent with a high frequency range and crystal clear audio. The quality of the construction is evident when you pick one up and feel how heavy it is! Connectors are of the screw type, much better than the pressure clips that are found on much cheaper speakers.Would highly recommend to anybody looking for great audio at a great price!

Great sound, low cost
I wanted cheap but good bookshelf speakers to replace my low end right/left speakers of my computers 5.1 speaker system. For under $70 they more than do the job making my home office music sound almost as good as my high end Quad home entertainment speakers.

If you want good sound, go to music store
If you really want to listen to real good sound from music of CDs, Mp3, Pc etc.. I suggest go to music store and buy those Studio Monitor speakers, some are self powered with built in amplifier. Generally, they are the same price as home speakers but they are really good. Music producers and DJs use these speakers to make music. I bought a pair of active Numark bookshelf size speakers for $89 and they rock, the bass is loud, and punchy, treble are clear and crisp. They sound much better than my more expensive Sony tower speakers but only 1/4 of the size and price.

Beware the low price!
Don't let the low price fool you - this is the lowest quality speaker that Polk sells. If you want the Polk name and nothing more, get these. If you want something that sounds better, get one of their higher lines.
