Very happy with this case
Very happy with this case! This is actually my second one, first served me well for over a year before I dropped and broke it. Yes it is bulky and heavy, and yes the kickstand is worthless, but it does what it is supposed to do, charge your phone and extend the battery life.I rarely review items but I've read a lot of the reviews on here and some of the negative reviews bothered me so I wanted to set the record straight. It seems like people are mad that it doesn't come with a charging cable, are you serious? It uses the same lightning cable that comes with your phone so you don't need a new cable! Simply leave your phone in the case and charge both with your existing cable! Good Lightning cables cost as much if not more than this case so if you really expect to get an extra cable at this price you are retarded! Other people are mad that the case doesn't protect your phone from drops, ummm hello it's not an otter box and is not advertised as drop protection. A lot of people claim that it doesn't last long enough??? First thought is maybe you simply don't understand the concept of the on/off switch, only turn the charging case on when the battery gets low and within half an hour to 45 min your phone will be fully charged again, and then turn the case back off until you need it again! Using this method I usually get 3 full charges before needing to plug it back in. However, being a generic manufacturer it is very possible that some of the people complaining simply got a faulty case. So far I have had 2 and gave another one as a gift to a friend and all 3 work perfectly. Last weekend when camping I woke up to discover that my phone was completely dead and so I turned on the case to charge it and shortly after a friend asked if he could borrow the case cuz his phone was dead too. Since I was already plugged into the charger charging my phone I told him to bring his cord and hooked his phone into the ultra convienent external USB jack and set the two dead phones down while I went to make breakfast. An hour later I went to check on the phones and both phones were fully charged with about half power left on the case! So for those that claim that it is less powerful than advertised I'm guessing that you either got a faulty case or you don't know what your talking about. Before buying these cases I used a Mophie which I loved, but will never go back to the name brand charging cases because these cases are far superior for a fraction of the cost! Mophie=$85+

Good Battery Life; Several Engineering Issues
I got this because my 2400mAh battery is sometimes not enough to keep my phone going all day.Pros: It mostly works well to keep my phone at 100% charge even after several hours of Amazon instant video (biggest battery hog ever), Facebook, web surfing, Netflix, and so forth. I'd say it's good for at least four hours of heavy battery use, possibly more. That's WHEN it works, and now we get into why I've deducted stars.Cons: It randomly turns itself off. When this happens, the only way to turn it back on is to remove the phone from the case, then reconnect it while at the same time hitting the "power on" button on the battery case. This button does not work to turn the battery case off at all, and only turns on if pressed at just the right time while connecting the phone to it.The battery slightly more than doubles the thickness of the phone. This is not such a big deal for me, but I can see why others might feel it's too bulky. The top of the case doesn't connect well, and often easily pulls off when trying to pull the phone from a pocket or purse. The weight of the battery/phone is enough to disconnect the top part, making it easy to accidentally drop the phone. BE CAREFUL.The buttons on the phone are reachable, barely, but they are indented quite a bit. If you have a fingernail of at least two millimeters in length, you should be able to turn the ringer button on and off, but it can be a bit tricky. I don't have problems with the other buttons. The "stand" is unfortunately too weak to hold up the phone, for the most part. I've gotten it to work once or twice, but the slightest bump will knock it over. It's just not robust enough to carry the weight of the phone plus the battery case. The battery does not appear to charge when the phone is attached. In summation: if you can manage to turn it on, it will give you quite a bit of extra battery life. So much so that, to me, it's worth the inconvenience of size, charging issues, and difficulty getting it to both start and stay working. However, there are several issues with this battery case, so I'm not sure I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
