Crummy picture.
I suppose the bumper part is good , I was just confused by the picture , I actually thought I was getting a winch as pictured . Can you imagine my surprise when all I got was a small envelope in the mail. They should at least do a close up of the bumper stop so you don't think you are getting the whole winch.

Good
This is quite a substantial chunck of rubber that does the trick! The metal bushings on the ends are also quite substantial.

Much better than basic rubber stopper
I have gone through 3 or 4 of the basic rubber winch stoppers. I like to suck my winch in tight so that the hook doesn't rattle and bounce around, and I kept splitting the basic stoppers. This winch stopper has a metal plate on both sides of the rubber, allowing you to suck the hook in nice and tight against the fairlead without splitting the rubber. A much better product! Am super happy and recommend to anyone running a winch on their machine.

Easier to Install If Planning to Replace Cable Anyway
Had been unable to attach this bumper to my factory installed cable because of a large loop in the cable near my tow hook. Instead of removing the cable from the winch I opted to cut a narrow slot with a hacksaw for the full length of the bumper (metal halves plus rubber). This let me slide it over the cable. They make a bumper similar to my modification however some people complained that it falls off. This was prevented by placing two heavy duty nylon tie wraps around the narrow part of the bumper and staggering the slots in the metal halves. Although the cutting I performed was very difficult this bumper has operated fine as I am careful not to over-compress and distort the bumper.

I apologize.
My husband did get the bumper but was wanting the winch and I took his word for it until I got to looking at the order closely. Again I apologize for my earlier review and hope Amazon can delete it. Joan, wife
