The item is advertised as 70% merino wool, and the package and the hats say they're 70% merino wool. However the material doesn't feel like merino; merino is super soft and fine, whereas these hats are rough and stiff and scratchy.So I picked up some loose fibers from the inside seam to test them. When burned the fibers did not burn like wool (thread shrivels into dust and smells like burning hair), but like polyester (burns brightly, leaving a hard melted end, gives off a chemical smell). Multiple tests on each hat confirmed this.There's a reason these hats are so cheap; they probably cost 25 cents to make.

This is the second set of these that I have purchased. I love them. They fit snug, but not too snug. They are warm. They wash very well in cold water, and dry on a light setting.

They are okay. Both fit a little different. They are pretty cheap considering you get 2. They can get itchy wearing it for an extended period of time, and the wind dies come through the hat a bit. My personal favorite beanie is an Adidas fleece lined beanie, seems to work much better and more comfortable but also cost right $20. I will definitely still use these, but not when I am going to be outside all day.

I actually bought these beanies from Costco in the past. They were stolen from me (not kidding), because I'm assuming how good they were. I thought I'd lost them forever but then I decided to check here on amazon. Found them and I'm stoked. They are great products. The charcoal gray one is a full beanie lined on the inside. The light gray one has the warmth lining about 3-4 inches with along the brim of the beanie. Good for keeping your ears warm but not over the top heat.I'd recommend this to everyone. Just done leave them exposed in your car in San Francisco or they will be stolen.

Quality is good but the one size fits all is not so fits all. Pulled all the way onto my head the hat(s) covered my eyes and went down to my nose. No option to fold over as there is a fleece lining which prevents that. For being 70% wool would expect the hats to be softer.

I do a lot of hiking during the winter in the mountains. I bought these a week ago and have used them on a few hikes- including in a downpour. I stayed dry until my sweat soaked the fleece band around the forehead. These beanies are every bit as warm as a traditional watch cap and are half the thickness and weight.

Got tired of those over sized - too big beanies. These fit perfectly, and even though they might be a bit thinner than the heavier ones, they seemed to work great when I was walking around downtown Minneapolis yesterday. Probably wouldn't be the best if you were in truly sub-zero kind of weather, but ... very happy with these.

If your head is large --- 22-7/8in/58cm ---- this will probably feel uncomfortably snug. But otherwise, nice hats, warm, double layer a bit stiff.

Fits as they should , good for coolish days , not sure I’d wear this in subzero weather but is great for cool autumn days when you don’t need a heavy duty toque . Way over kill on the hard plastic packaging for a cloth product that can’t break .

Fit good on both women and men’s head! Warm enough for fall weather. Nice style, we recommend!
