Anything else is simply a waste of money.
I just purchased my second Bose Series 2.In the past 10 years, I have owned at least a dozen blue tooth headsets. I have owned Plantronics, Jawbone, Jabra, Motorola, and others that I don't remember. The reason to use a Bluetooth headset is so that you do not need to hold the phone while you are talking on it. And if you are really going to embrace the headset, then it needs to improve the way you use the phone. All of the headsets I have owned have worked. But none of them has worked as well as the Bose.I work as a supervisor on a construction site. I am on the phone all day long, either in my office, or on the site. With the headset, I always have my hands free to type, use a tape measure, climb a ladder, or carry something. Not to mention drive a truck. The noise canceling in the Bose Series 2 is awesome. I never have a problem hearing the other person, and they only have trouble hearing me if I am standing next to something really extreme like a jackhammer. And no one should try to talk during that. There is a crispness to the sound that is far superior to all of the other headsets. The Jabra was close, and it also had great noise canceling, but it hurt my ear. I put up with it for a while, and when I finally dropped the Jabra in a puddle ( it just fell out) and could not revive it, I replaced it with the Bose.It seems that it was upgrading each time I purchased a new headset. Some of the earlier ones were promotional headsets given out as part of an accessory bundle with a new phone. Some were issued by employers who wanted to make sure we didn't hold our phones while driving, and the last 6 or so were all purchased to help increase productivity while on the phone. But some of them were simply useless. So after a month or so of putting up with a product that doesn't work well, I would throw the headset in a drawer, and get a newer more expensive one. Most recently I went to the local store for a certain wireless carrier, and tried to buy a new Bose Series 2. I wanted a back up, because the one I have been using for over a year, has gotten rained on a few times, and although it keeps working, I want be prepared for when it stops. So at the store, I ask the salesman if he can suggest a headset. He recommends the Jabra. I explained to him that although the sound quality and noise canceling are good, the unit itself was very uncomfortable to me.So he suggest the Motorola Flip. (Remember, I went in to buy a new Bose). I'm told that it has great noise canceling, and it is a great headset. So I bought it.And returned it the next day. Poor sound, and not at all comfortable. More time wasted. ( because I thought I could save a few bucks).I have my Bose series 2 connected to 2 iPhones. The only problem I have, is that sometimes when I am on phone 1 and I recieve an incoming call on phone 2, the headset mic will stop working when I let call 2 go to voicemail. I can avoid that by answering the call quickly. But that means ending call 1 abruptly. There is not a more comfortable headset. It does not fall out, and I often forget I am wearing it.Easy to pair. And the great side benefit is that you can listen to music and no one else hears it, or cares. If you are really intending to use a Bluetooth headset on a regular basis, then just go and get a Bose. Because anything else is simply a waste of your time and money.

Twice burned on fragile product; restricted Bose return/exchange policy
I'm a twice-burned Bose Bluetooth series 2 buyer, hence my 1:5 rating:My first bluetooth lasted about 7-8 months before it broke apart. I bought my second in mid February, and it came apart this evening as I inserted it in my ear. A 4-month use-life is ridiculous for a $150 device! The Good:1. The device fits uniquely in the ear canal without causing discomfort over time. I've worn mine for hours and essentially forgotten it was in my ear. This bluetooth is THAT comfortable.2. It's a decent size (compared to my old Plantronic Voyager), not as sleek as some of the other in-ear bluetooths out there, but less clunky than my over-the-ear Plantronic. The Bad:1. Fragile! I dropped my first bluetooth twice (on carpet), and the earpiece broke off. I figured that was on me and bought a replacement (another $150). My second bluetooth came apart at the earpiece as I inserted it in my ear tonight. I didn't drop it. I didn't handle it roughly. It simply "broke apart" as I twisted it in the insertion process (as it's intended for use). I can still hear sound coming from it, but two tiny screws are sticking out of the bluetooth base and the rubber/plastic piece is dangling loose by tiny wires. It's THAT fragile!2. Lackluster sound: On my receiving end, both bluetooth devices sounded fine. However, people on the other end routinely complained that they could hardly hear me with my second bluetooth; I frequently had to readjust the angle of the device to try to improve their listening experiences. I occasionally had similar complaints with my first bluetooth, but it was particularly problematic with my second one. I expected better quality from Bose; perhaps I bought into the Bose reputation more than I should have.3. Battery life: My first bluetooth died within about 2 hours of standby mode (or about 45 minutes of talk time) in my ear. That one spent half its day recharging. My second bluetooth had more battery life (up to 3 hours on standby; about 60 minutes of talk time). I'd like to make it more than halfway through a typical workday without searching for a plugin cord. Again, maybe I'm asking for too much.4. Warranty limitation! According to the Bose website, only products purchased directly through a Bose store are eligible for return or exchange. Excluded are purchases made online, by phone, or through other retailers. An Amazon purchase means you're out of luck. Here's the link: http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/customer_service/shopping_help/returns_and_exchanges.jspOverall, I'd say my two experiences were mixed in terms of comfort versus sound quality. However, it's too fragile and the exchange/return policy is too restricted for me to recommend this $150 product at all!
