Major Craft Vu~oruki VKC-68L / BFS

This is a killer rod. I paired it with a Daiwa T3 with Hedgehog bearings and an SV1000 spool and I can cast anything from 1/16-1/3 oz no problem. It absolutely launches Duo Realis spinbait 80's. I've landed fish on shakey heads, mojo rigs, 1/4 oz cranks, 3/16 oz jerkbaits, 1/16 oz jigs, 1/8th oz spinnerbaits, and a spybait 80. It has a great, braid friendly mod-fast action with a nice crisp tip and plenty of backbone, so it's suited for playing the fish on reaction baits as well as driving single hooks home. It is light and balances perfectly with lightweight reels. It has an incredibly sensitive, perfectly straight micro pitch blank, as found on higher end Daiwa rods, with a comfortable cork split grip. The reel seat is a Fuji ACS with an EVA clad clamp nut. Maybe the best part of all are the guides, which are lightweight and durable Fuji K series micro guides with SiC inserts. I use Power Pro Super Slick 20# line and it flies through those guides smoothly and silently. This rod is of the absolute highest quality in terms of construction and components that you will find anywhere for less than $300. They retail for $150 on the Japanese market, and for that price they are an absolute steal. There is no g Loomis or st Croix out there that can hang with these Volkeys. So if you're in the market for a BFS rod, stop here, you've found it. The rod pictured is not the volkey BFS rod. It is a basic series rod. The BFS rods have cork on both ends of the split grip and 1 double footed stripper guide.
