I looked at a few sheaths, and opted for this one based on the design. I liked the idea of being able to take it apart for cleaning and the multiple mounting options. Unfortunately I have oversized custom wood grips that were too big for the sheath. The sheath has retention adjustment, but my grips were too bulbous to fit properly. I did not realize the size difference when I ordered. The original grips were included in the box when the knife was given to me and when I put them on, the sheath fit like a glove. Since the wood grips are what I keep on the knife, I decided to return the sheath. Frank responded quickly an even offered to custom fit my knife. I declined as I was not comfortable sending the knife thru the mail as it has sentimental value. Frank approved the return promptly, and was very accommodating. Even though I did not keep the product, I wanted to write a review as I was very impressed with the quality of the sheath and the seller provided top notch customer service, which is rare these days. I would not hesitate to order from this seller again.

Really well made kydex sheath. Highly recommend it for your Kabar BK-7!Cons (2): There were two parts of the holster that i was not a big fan of which were the velcro pieces where the blade enters the sheath (nice to have i suppose tp clean the blade off but less retention and sometimes rough entry when putting the knife in). The other thing i was not a big fan of were that there are not rivets going down the side but instead there are scrw driver screws which don't look as clean, add a bit of extra weight and could easily loosen and get lost.Plus: The kydex suction to the blade is really clean. All the edges are smoothed out nicely and the belt clip design is really well made and thought out. There is not extra kydex where there doesn't need to be. Overall the design and worksmanship on this holster/sheath is really good.Again, would highly recommend this holster based on the price and quality. You will be very pleased.

This sheath is great. Must have for the BK-7. The stock sheath is honestly a piece of crap, and this is a 100% improvement. The kydex is thick and solid, and holds the knife great. It fit perfectly when the knife was fresh out of the box, and still fits perfectly after I stripped the black coating from the knife and added micarta handles. The knife locks in the sheath but is easy enough to release, and there is absolutely no rattling when secured. The inside is lined with synthetic material that keeps the blade safe and snug as a bug. The screws and belt loops configuration also allows for easy customization depending on your preference. This sheath was obviously made with care and has great attention to detail. I could not be happier with this product, and would recommend it to anyone with a BK-7. 10/10, you will absolutely not regret it.

I don't have a HUGE problem with the sheath that comes with the BK-7, but I don't love it. It just doesn't seem in character with this beefy knife. This one fits the character of the knife much better. It fits very well.

I was impressed with the finishing of the kydex sheath. My BK-7 knife clicks into it and will not rattle or fall out. I like the fact that it can be taken apart for cleaning because of the pancake construction put together with screws.

This sheath is perfect for the Ka-bar Becker BK7 except for one thing: the velcro tape inside it. This is supposedly to protect the coating on the knife, but seriously? This plastic sheath is not going to do anything damaging to the durable protective coating. 10 minutes with a screwdriver, though, will solve that problem as the velcro tape is easily removable once you disassemble the sheath. With the velcro removed, I worried that there would be some play in the fitment, but there is none. It still feel just as snug as it was to begin with, albeit without the feeling of having to stab the knife through the velcro to get it there.100% satistied with this sheath, just stop putting the velcro tape in it.

I've been using this sheath in place of the horrible factory nylon one for over a month now and I love it! Some may prefer it to be a little tighter but for me it has the perfect amount of tension for a combat blade. It allows for super fast deployment to get the blade into the fight as quickly as possible - because if you have to unsnap to deploy, it's a utility knife.Plenty of screws vs rivets to allow attachments for piggy-backs without compromising the retention, although you'd need to buy longer screws if so. Still well worth the money to have a ready-made kydex sheath without having to send your blade off to a fabricator.

Great fit with good retention. Feels very durable. Belts loops are fine but i did order a tek lok to try on this. I prefer to be able to take on and off without removing my belt. Should come with a clip style attachment.
