Sennheiser HD 429 S Headphones for Smartphones and Tablets, Black

The Sennheiser HD 429 S Headphones are a good set of headphones. I had planned on spending between $50-75, and wanting the best bang for my buck, did a fair bit of research. This is my first experience with Sennheiser, and I'm not disappointed. I play video games and listen to a wide variety of music, sometimes without the luxury of the surround sound system. These are a good alternative. Accurate bass, sharp highs, and a comfortable fit. I wear a 7 7/8 hat, these don't pinch, and no ear pain after an extended use. The foam earpads seal well, little ambient noise.*EDIT10 months of almost daily use and practically no signs of wear. I occasionally use them as a cell phone headset too. The mic has a ink pen style clip that works well. I clip it to my collar during gaming or phone calls.*2nd EDIT 6/3/2016Over 2 years later, still going strong. This is the longest lasting set of headphones I have ever owned. I have accidentally yanked on the cord a few times. The cord is designed to separate at the mic clip, and functions perfectly. I'm pretty sure I would have torn the wires apart a few times if not for that. The foam surrounds are still in like new condition; not a single split or tear. If these ever fail, I will happily purchase a set of Sennheiser's again.3rd Edit 2/16/20173 years and the first signs of age have occurred. Roughly a month ago, I noticed that the right side adjustment mechanism had become slightly loose, and only just barely keeps them in place. Still completely comfortable, it just requires that the right side must occasionally be slightly adjusted to remain snug against my ear. Sound quality has not deteriorated in any noticeable way, the foam ear surrounds are still in like new condition with no tears at all.These headphones have been used daily for 3 years. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The only complaint I could come up with is the microphone placement. If the mic is not clipped to my shirt, higher than it's hanging position, it wouldn't pick up my voice clearly. I most certainly will purchase another headset from Sennheiser, next time a model with a boom mic.

Great value for what you get. Been a Sennheiser fan for many years and have owned a couple PC150's, and some HD650's.Pros:Does exactly what you think it does, works flawlessly on the PS4! Very comfortable even for long periods of time, phone calls sound great and I could be heard clearly and loudly, even my 6 year old daughter could be heard by her grandparents wearing these.Cons:The overall sound quality for music I would say is the only place these are lacking. I was slightly disappointed how pandora sounded on my Note 4. Although running an equalizer app in the background to tweak some things made it better. But of course I have to also account for the source as well.Overall I would still highly recommend these not only because of their great price but because of their versatility. Having the ability to use them on my PS4 and take phone calls during music sessions is a huge plus for me. Budget Christmas present to myself that fit all my needs!EDIT: After a week or so I am still super happy with these! Don't hesitate!

I have been watching my movies and tv shows with a Sennheiser RS 120 for a couple of years now. And it never failed to deliver great sound quality. This led me to try on another Sennheiser unit for my phone, laptop, and tablet. I must say that the Sennheiser HD 429S is a well built headphones that produces clear, crisp sound, with just the right punch of bass into it. I made the right decision in choosing this. To some, it may seem large, but it feels comfortable while wearing them. It's lightweight and there's no clamping pressure on the ears. The wire may also seem thin, but I doubt if it will break easily. Sennheiser makes high quality products. It is a great value at a very low cost. I'm happy with it.

I am by no means an audiophile. I have never used a pair of headphones more than $300 dollars. I have used beats, and while I enjoyed them, they only excelled in hip hop and dubstep. I listen to a lot of everything, and Country and most vocal genres seemed off to me, and that is why I used Skullcandys more than them. I bought these because I know someone who had them and they seemed good. When I got these, they weren't good, they were great. Yeah you can't feel the bass, but that's not what you NEED, these are for every genre, they are well balanced, and the most surprising part to me was that putting them on is like putting on a set of Astro or Turtle Beaches, they block out most sound. I cannot recommend these enough. They even look nice and I love the backings of them with the nice textured rubber feel

I have a couple pairs of much pricier wireless Sennheisers that have been just terrific. Great comfort, great sound. I took a shot on the HD 429. The build quality is not too bad for the low price. However, I was disappointed at the (in)efficiency. I simply could not get useful music listening volume out of them with my Android, unlike a variety of earbuds I've used. Not fundamentally surprising, as the drivers are so much bigger. However, they are advertised as "for smartphones". I had intended these for long business flights. Instead, I keep them around work for occasions where I need to watch video content. I wound up getting some efficient earbuds for the flights.

No es el mejor sonido ni cable, pero me sirven perfectamente para lo que los uso: escuchar música mientras hago tareas. Son muy buenos para su precio, realmente creo que no se puede conseguir muchas cosas con esta calidad por este precio.

Transaction was fine. Arrived on time. Sound from headphones is decent. Passive attenuation from closed design is OK as well... Unfortunately, I bought this specifically to use the integrated microphone. The microphone doesn't work well at all. Tried these on a few androids and iphones with same result. Disappointed.
