With the water shortage in CA, who doesn't need extra water for the garden? This pump provides that. There is a creek in our backyard that can provide this and the pump works great for running 2 hoses at once.

I love this water pump. I had the same brand for over 13 years with no problems. Easy to install and is very quiet when operating. I highly recommend this product.

I had the same product for 10 years and it finally wore out but worked well up until that point. I have tried 2 replacement units. The first unit had a broken input connector resulting in a significant leak under my house. Amazon sent me a replacement unit because the distributor/Amazon does not stock spare parts. Installed the second unit and output connector started spraying after a few days. Replaced connector with connector from first new pump and appeared to be working well. I went back to the crawl space a few days later and everything looked fine and unit was working well. A few hours later we lost water pressure. I checked the power and the switch had tripped. Crawled back under the house and found water pouring from the interior of the unit. Unplugged and isolated the unit. When the first replacement unit broke the distributor pointed to the plumber. I watched the plumber during the first and second replacement installations. I make my living helping large companies improve their maintenance operations and have worked with and observed hundreds of mechanics, pipe fitters, electricians, etc. This was a new plumber for me and I was impressed with his workmanship and professional approach. In my opinion the two units I purchased did not match the quality of the original unit that lasted 10 years. The connectors were obviously inferior and the second unit failed.

Expensive but worth it if you need a durable pump to push water

This is the pump that previous owners installed in our home, so we're stuck with it. 6.5 years after the initial install, it stopped kicking on to keep pressure up if a tap was open and we were told it would be thousands of dollars to replace by that same plumber who installed it. Apparently the typical life of this pump is 3 years, which seems insane to me for such an expensive and critical piece of home machinery. Other plumbers said this was an awful pump, but it'd also be thousands of dollars to switch out the pump system, so we decided to DIY the replacement. It was pretty easy to install, but the most frustrating thing was the new pump's cord was about a foot shorter than the old one...and the plug was HALF AN INCH from reaching our outlet specifically built for this pump. What type of manufacturer, of a product that has a life of under 10 years, changes the length of the power cord?!?! Luckily we were able to order 4 inch extension cords with the appropriate gauge, but this pump is absolutely not worth using unless you're already stuck with it.

This is not the first pump I have purchased for home use. Within the 1st week it had a stress crack in the front (water in let) plastic fastener/housing. Seller referred me to Amazon customer service for repair unless I wanted to pay the plumber to uninstall the pump and return it for an exchange. This is not my first pump of this type and leaking is a pretty common problem. Guess you get what you paid for. Works get, when its not spraying all over.
