Monopoly Empire Game(Discontinued by manufacturer)

I am loving this game more than my 9 year old does. We have played this game many times. It's not really like the old Monopoly that takes forever. It's much quicker. And the more aggressive you are, the quicker it is. It's easy but there can be strategies used for older/advanced players. It's so fun. If you can get past the blatant marketing. :)

Purchased this for my 10 yr. old grandson for Christmas. While we were out shopping, earlier in the Fall, he had mentioned he wanted the game. I made note and was one of his Christmas gifts. He loves it. Plays it with his 16 year old sister. Seems to be faster paced than the original game of Monopoly. Seems to have a more modern feel, which is good for today's kids.

if you had enough of monopoly, know this game is NOT the same. Relatively quick and fun to play with kids. Instead of placing house/hotel tokens on your property, you buy brands that come in different size/length. Once purchased, you add them to your tower. Granted, the longer the piece to closer you get to the top of your tower which brings you closer to victory (once reach peak of tower, you won). Also, the taller the tower, the more money you get each time passing the starting point.What makes this game fun is that you can exchange short brand with longer brand of another player giving you the lead. Kind of a game changer.Anyway - good game, good value for the price.

Fun game, especially if you are into board games.What I like the most is that there's a level of randomness that stress you out even if you are winning, makes it perfect for destroying friendships, because who needs friends anyway when you can have more billboards?Also, the game goes way faster than the classic Monopoly board game, it takes around 15 to 30 minutes to finish the game.

This is the quickest Monopoly game I have ever played. There's also an element of hostility that seems to bubble up during games. I actually call this game "screw your buddy" Monopoly because the tower building frenzy makes the game very intense. It's all about stripping properties off your opponents' towers and winning low auction bids when your opponents get too low on money.Two hints for other players: 1. Determine how the houses function before the game starts. Should they protect properties under them or simply fill tower spaces? 2. Set a value for the swap icon on the dice. We assign it 1 in our family, but your family could use 7 instead.

Awesome game! My kids (ages 8 and 9) love Monopoly, but we don't always have the time to invest in a full game. This is the perfect solution. Simple directions - easy to read guide. Game can be completed in as little as 30 minutes. It has brands that are recognizable, even to kids. We really have enjoyed this game.

Fanstastic Game!! Kids loved it.This is a game for both kids and parents! The pieces are of American quality - which is a pleasure to play.This is a wonderful twist to the usual monopoly - which will make your kids play this more often than the older monopoly

This is a modified Monopoly for four players maximum. There are nine squares down each side. The “property” squares are now “Company” squares and when you buy the company (eg. Samsung, Coca Cola), priced according to its capitalisation, you can stack their advertising billboard in your (plastic) “corporate tower”. (Think of the neon advertising in Times Square.) The person who fills up their tower first wins (and the companies have different sized billboards). When you land on a company owned by another player the rent you pay is the total value of their tower (billboards), so as such there are no “cheap” or “expensive” areas to land on.There are lots of twists to this game especially if four play. As well as the usual ”chance” cards there are cards that for example enable you to block any action against you, and enable you to collect rent when you should pay it. One side of one dice enables you to swap the top billboards between any two players, so you can peg back the leader a bit.Games for us last from 20 to 60 minutes.I like this game – it’s attractively colourful with excellent playing pieces. Because of its relative simplicity it may not be as playable as “normal” monopoly.One last thing – the rules are (thankfully) concise, but this means certain flavours of certain situations are not covered. So we’ve had to invent a rule or two. No problem though.

It's a great deal for monopoly lovers. The product is new and includes the original plastic wrapping. The game itself is a bit different from the original monopoly (is shorter in time), but it is also very amusing. Recommended.
